Can I please ask EVERYONE to complain about Violations when they are not warranted.?
A lot of people have been deleted recently after working very hard to get up to a level where they can ask and answer unlimited.

If you get violated for something that is NOT even close to being offensive, please report it with the email header "harassment by another user" and state that you do not deserve this violation. Say that it is harassment and you want the matter investigated and the REPORTERS account suspended.

I will be reporting EVERY one from now on

Lets stop the mindless yobs destroying our work

Just one point though. If you deserve the Violation - take it on the chin !

I have been using Answers since last April, and finally had a violation notice a couple weeks ago. The funny thing is, I got 5 in one day. None before, none since. I made some girl mad because I told her to do her own homework when she posted dozens of her multiple choice test questions in this category. She complained to Yahoo about me.

Yes, I did. I gave an inappropriate statement and deserved it. Sometimes it is hard not to tell some of these people off - especially the obviously uneducated loud mouths....

I am making a true effort to ignore the idiots and find someone with an intelligent question or with something thoughtful to say.

I look a lot at their screen names....that can be a good barometer of the maturity of the poster.

yes, plenty!

mostly stupid things, such as, suggesting that mr. bush drop dead a.s.a.p. and a few time for telling people to ``sukapipe``

i noticed something particular, when i replied(only for stupid violations) to ask about the violation, the only times i ever received an explanation or response was when i (only times that i did) suggested that yahoo might run into technical difficulties..... (4 times, out of at least 20)

I have had 2 both totally nonsensical. It is obvious the bod's at Yahoo do not check the fact's before issuing a violation notice!

I've learned a few things. Sometimes a violation is worth the points, to call a racist an idiot felt good. Stay away from kids and homework they are nasty little boogers. Also, if someone is asking about marring cousins, this is a question to stay away from.

I've had a few but every time I got one I probably deserved it. I try not to get angry or take things personally but once in a while somebody just is so stupid and I tell them so. No matter how careful you are you can get them if someone else doesn't like your answer.

I had one and it was for saying someone was asking a worn out question you know the type you see every day which are just asked to open the flood gates to the same worn out answers.I must have struck a nerve.

I have had two - one from a young girl who threatened to report people in her question and the other because I said someones question was boring and repetitive. (which everyone was saying about that question, so I am sure it was more than just me who got a violation).

Oh well....

I've had dozens. It's not directly from Yahoo, however. It's because some fool has reported you for some frivolous reason and the flat liners at Yahoo don't bother to check if it's legitimate or not, they just enforce it. Then you have to beg and hope they reinstate your answer/question.
