One of the key beliefs in Voodoo is: "What you do to others you do to yourself". It's very much like Karma, or 'Do onto others etc." just more natural since they believe that we are all one, and part of one universe. Hurting another is just hurting yourself.

Why are (many) Europeans normally scared of African Spirtual paths?

hasse_john : Voodoo is thousand of years older than any scriptures, it comes from the days humans lived in caves and among the wild. Scriptures were writtin(and/or editied by the same Europeans that colonised Africa, not a good source is it?)

Because Voodoo has the Laos, one is benevolent and the other malevolent. Not everyone believes in "karma" I prefer the Order of Nature. Also, some Voodoo rituals involve maiming or even killing people for good luck etc. For example, an African 18 month old was raped by her relative for luck in business in a Voodoo ritual. It was in the newspaper, Prince Harry visited the children's home where she lives. A lot of Europeans practice it themselves since Europe is still very Christian. I know a Voodoo practitioner myself. Its not a matter of fear its just that when people hear of stories like that, they form the opinion that it must be bad.

Voodoo has a bad reputation. I don't go in for that kind of thing but it seems pretty harmless really.

Your implication is that it is not Demonism? And how pray tell do you come to that conclusion? Is it approved by Scripture?
