If God is so prefect, why would it have imperfect things in it? Why does jesus condone killing kids for being bad? Why does he also approve of slavery?

If what you are saying is true, can you back it up by showing us some scriptures?

The Bible doesn't condone rape, killing, etc God punished the Isralites when they disobeyed, and he doesn't put up with disobedience from those of us who are believers. Where did you get the idea that he condoned rape, killing etc.? All of these things are a fact of life because of the first sin - the first act of disobedience. The Isralites got into trouble because of disobedience, the first born was killed in Egypt because of unbelief. God told them what to do, before the death angel passed, and those who didn't do as they were told, lost out God punishes just as we punish our children but he does not do evil. God cannot be where there is evil. When believers disobey, then we will have to face the consequences but not by being raped, killed etc. Please give scripture references. This world is spiriling downhill but it's all prophetic and unless we humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways - and we are doing this, God isn't - then we best be on our guard. This country (the US) is supposed to be a Christian nation. I've heard that all of my life but in the last 5-10 yrs especially we have accepted sin that we didn't use to accept.
There are things the Bible says is wrong and yet this country has decided that certain groups of people have "rights". What happened to all human beings having rights? There will be h-- to pay if we do't turn away from the rape, the killing, the acceptance of certain sins that God does NOT condone.
The ten conmandments clearly tells us that we are not to kill, or commit adultery - Exodus 20, In John 3:16, it tells us just how much God loves us and what he gave for us, In Romans it tells us that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God.
Now since you are the one claming God condones theses sins - why don't YOU give us the scriptures you are speaking of.. Many times scriptures are taken out of context - is this what you have done? God gets blamed for things that man does, satan never gets blamed for anything. You need to back up and take a look at the whole scripture.. The whole Bible is really about Christ - read it with your heart open instead of your head. If you really want scripture condoning sin, then you will have to produce it. God allows some things to happen sometimes but you can bet your britches, He has a good reason for what has happened.

Man has been taught things by beings more evolved than us; Adam, Melchizedek and Christ- to name a few. We have over time distorted their teachings. The bible was written by men with there own agenda and they used ( intentionally or unintentionally) the revelations passed down to them... So what you have is a mixture of heavenly knowledge and mans knowledge. The apostle Paul is a good example. He says repeatedly that what he is saying is his own opinion i.e. gays, long hair, etc etc.. He says it as not a commandment, meaning not inspired by God. 1-cor. 7:1-6, 7:10, 7:12 , 7:17, and especially 17:25 also 7:26,28,29,32,35,40,and he says "I THINK also that I have the spirit of God.

Don,t get me wrong, I love Jesus Christ. I just think its sad that man has screwed it all up. We are so confused at this point, I don't think we will ever get it right without another Melchizedek type or order, to help us. (. Check out Hebrews 5:10)

I would like to assure you that God never sanctioned the killing of anything. We must first prove where our religion (the bible) has gone astray, before; we can convince the Muslims of there mistakes. Thats why I think we need another teacher! Heb; 5:12

Peace...

There is a thing called being full of s***, and you are overfull.
I can quote at least 10 places where children have the special protection of Jesus, and I know no where does it condone slavery or killing in the NT.

Well, killing it does condone (death penalty and war), but not the other two.

slavery: there is something we'd now call indentured servants. "slaves" are meant to be freed on the jubilee, so you can't be a slave for your whole life. And those who are bond servants are either POWs, prisoners, or debtors who are working to pay it off. So it doesn't match or present meaning of slavery.

Rape is not condoned. there are so many euphemisms in the English translation, but really they are talking about marriage, adultery, and all those things.

the killing though, it does seem to condone genocide.
Perhaps you should ask about specific genocides in the OT on their own.

It's not kill your kids. It is saying that a parent has the right to put their child away, in other words disown them. (euphemisms suck). Child sacrifice is condemned, and the Abraham thing was an obedience test.

you need to give the examples you are talking about. there is no place where Jesus said it was ok to kill children. If you are talking about the verse in Leviticus, it is talking about a rebellious son that refuses to get his act together.

There is no place the condones rape or slavery. In fact, God didn't like it, and knowing that his people were going to do it, said they were only allowed to keep a slave for 7 years. This was to pay a debt, not forced for no reason.

Get your facts straight before trying to stir up trouble.

you dun know the bible well. it never once state He condone slavery. it just state the facts as it happens, eg, there slavery existed and the humane way of dealing with them. as for the killings, u have to look in the context of why did the killing take place. alot has to do with the killing of evil enemies who has not repented after God has given long period of time. it is a form of judgement to them. these were the ppl who kill God's ppl and their children without mercy.

all these are in the Ot and Nt, look it up and dont be lazy too.....

Much of Scripture tells us how we should live. Large parts tell us how people did live. The Scripture is a true History, and tells the truth, even when is wasn't nice. Only those who accept the Messiah Yahoshua are destined for eternal life. For others, it would seem that shortining their life somewhat would not be a great loss. Try to see things from the Almighty's point of view! Slavery actually might be a blessing, as It might cause the slaves to cry to the Almighty for mercy, while the rich are content in their riches, and do NOT praise the Almighty.

Who said, first of all, those things are bad, wrong or evil, you?

Almost the entire animal kingdom reproduces by forced sex. Watch cats and dogs in the alley. Four or five male cats gang up on a female, corner her and one mounts her, against her will.

That's is Nature or Darwin's or God's way of doing thing.

If you're opposed to it, then not only are you opposed to God, but to Nature and Darwin.

This is how things evolved and man decided to exert control over other men and created laws, rules, police, jails, prisons and execution chambers, something NO OTHER SPECIES ON EARTH DOES.

When a leopard kills an animal and a big lion comes around and chases away the leopard, that leopard doesn't go to the GAME wardern and file a report against the LION for stealing his dinner!

See, it's obvious the Bible works, for you noticed how it treats the human condition.

If it were not for such things as books, we wouldn't change.

It's our history lessons and you'll find NO OTHER HISTORY that deals with rape and slavery going back as far as the Bible does. It's one of the oldest historys and it's been 3,000 years and we still haven't irradicated it!

Why, maybe it's a part of our Darwinian nature!

Natural Selection!

We choose to be that way!

,but Jesus knew what was going to happen to the ones in Jerusalem when the Romans would surround them. They would turn to killing there children and eating them. These were the ones that did not listen to Jesus when He told them to get out and flee to the mountains, but saying it and condoning it is two different things.

next time back it up with scriptures.

The Bible says nothing about condoning any of those things! You need to STUDY the Bible! Not
twist things around to your liking!
