It is a sad situation. A true christian doesn't waste time gossiping in the work place, putting others down or using hateful, racist, rude remarks. It makes me both sad and angry at people who profess to be christians and then act that way. Instead of showing their peace and love through their words and actions, they are turning people off completely to christians in general. All I can do is to apologize for their rudeness and say that we aren't all like that, seriously. There are good christians and bad, but a true christian will be loving , peaceful and giving in any situation. Please don't judge us all by just the bad ones.

That is a legitimate question. As a Christian that misguided practice bothers me a great deal. I can not explain the actions and motives of other people even if they have the same or similar ideology. Are you also accountable to explain the words and actions of all confused and poorly educated non-Christians that attack people for no reason?

It may be a cop out, but it is true.
Christians that attack others personally are not born again.
Maybe that would make a good question, 'How many Christians claim to be born again?'
If you are talking about quotes from the Bible about who goes to heaven and who goes to hell, that is not hate. We don't know if your question is personalized or not.
If Christians are nothing, then why would a person get so offended by them.

Depends on the remarks. If a Christian rightly warns a person that their lifestyle is destructive, sinful, and going to land them in hell, then it is an act of love and peace.

Christians are people too, with all the immaturity and petty feelings that go along with it. They too have been hurt by remarks, by mean people making fun.
Perhaps they are new Christians, not yet able to get their sustenance from the meat and potatoes of Scripture, but rely upon the breastmilk of emotionalism.
Or maybe they just shouldn't have eaten that last corn dog in the freezer, I don't know ... people's are such funny people lol.

Jesus taught:
Think not that I come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. -Matthew 10:34.
He taught us to question, to resist evil. I don't think you know what a Christian really is. You probably would prefer a lukewarm one.

Because in order to keep their followers giving money and following them blindly they have to use scare tactics and these involve finding a scapegoat such as another religion or something slightly different or strange and destroying it especially if the scapegoat has tried or is trying to speak out against the church

These christians are not really christians at all. being a true christian is to pray for that person instead of damaging his reputation.
