I listen, and if it fits in my puzzle, I add it.
If it does not fit, I discard it.

It is not my job to complete others puzzles for them.

It depends on the idea. If it will improve my relationship with my God and my fellowman, then I would use it.
If the idea is the opposite, I wouldn't tear it down, I would try to reason with the person, and show the outcome of such idea,

Frustration from my inability to clearly understand/accept an others concept can/does cause me to initially reject and repel instead of intelligently putting out the effort to learn. But I'm not very bright either, so it all kind of works out in the end.
