...is it that some/all of you athiests feel that religion/Christianity in particular, is dividing the human race by judgement of your character based on what christians believe to be the truth?

hmmm ... I do resent christians attitude towards Atheists and some that think they know what I do and don't stand for, simply because I call myself an Atheist. I am actually more of a Pagan but I am also an atheist. It is rather annoying when some Christians beleive that Atheism is due to a lack of knowledge when in fact most Atheists have a very strong Christian background - hence their informed choices!

I have to agree with dub-a-licious, Christians should never assume that Atheists have a lack of knowledge on the subject of God. God does not reveal Himself to people based upon intelligence of Him; I know of some people who are definately lacking in the intelligence area, but the love of God shines through them nonetheless. I also know extremely intelligent people who simply cannot believe because they have not seen. It doesn't make them of bad character.

I don't know why or how God chooses people, I've got too much to worry about doing mundane things like living and loving :) But my point is that Christians don't all judge according to the question of judgement of character. So the question is moot, in my opinion.

I'm a Christian btw.

What ever happened to I before E except after C and words that sound NAY like Neighbor and Weigh!

Is it ANY wonder why Johnny can't spell!

English grammar obviously came from a scientist who decided that PLUTO was no longer a planet and ATHEIST can break the rules of English Grammar!

I can't speak for other atheists, but I don't care about religion except when it interferes in other peoples' lives. And in particular when it tries to obstruct the truth.

Yes. Whether they want to or not... it's inherant in their religion.

Though I'm not actually an atheist.
