I mean regarding maintaining a strong body, a virile face (with a long and broad beard), to be jealous and caring for our females, to fight back the aggressors, to show contempt against those who declare enemity to us, and even to engage in wars in all circumstances against those that wish harming us.
Even in appearance: The wearing of a huge beard, dressing properly like respctful men, the prohibition of wearing gold and silk,
the encouragement of marriage at a young age,..etc
Has not this led to the fact that strong Muslims have appeared far more virile than the others? Has not this captured the respect and admiration of others and even encouraged others to follow our paths and accept our faith?
I deeply believe so, and if we follow the rules of our religion sincerely, we shall achieve the supremacy of this world in a very short time indeed.

Jim McCrea: ISLAM indeed achieved supremacy of the world in 7th-11th centuries. Again in the 14th-17th centuries we were masters of the world...so do not expose your ignorance in history.
The predictions of Nostradamus are incorrect; as the Muslims shall triumph in the end; sooner or later. Nostradamus tried to show that Christianity will triumph but to no avail. The great battallions from Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Palestine,...etc that are terrifiying to your lovely America are on the march. All they need is unity and some Islamic reforms. Their beards need to be longer and broader and they need to follow Islam much more sincerely. Your people can't stand a chance against sincere Muslims; not even for a second. Muslims are the chosen people of God. They shall triumph when they are so sincere to Islam, that this earthly life is in their hands and the afterlife is in their hearts. Remember the Byzantines and Sassanians and what they did in the 7th century?! History repeats itself.

I will have to agree with you. Islam shows both genders as respectable beings in their own ways.
But, now, the true essence of Islam is not understood and people jump to conclusions too quickly.

I do whole heartedly agree with your views that Muslim Women on R&S done better than the men over the past several months when our religion and its followers were under calculated attack in R&S by a few 'known' IDs and follower of faiths who are at dagger head with Islam. When I joined Y!A in April-2006 I found that R&S was completely having one-sided and biased Askers and Respondents who were maligning Islam and Muslims by the outcome of the events in Iraq and Afghanistan. These Anti-Islam Users of R&S wanted to let world believe that Islam is religion of hate and Muslims are from Mars (lol). I tried to correct some, Report some, Email some and what not. But at one point I gave up when I found that our Muslim brethrens were copy-pasting long quotes from Holy Quraan and Hadis which reached to the point of annoyance since who has time to go through such long paragraphs? I'm sorry for this long reply too. Then came a band of our Muslimahs and I think sis-Azra and Roushni were a few pioneers whom nobody mentioned above who took the courageous step to enlighten people those truly had misgivings without any bias against Islam. I can safely say that these Muslimahs did the 'Mummy's job of nurturing kids (Anti-Muslims) with as far as correct information who wanted to really understand what is going on in the minds of people acting in the name of Islam and more important, how really girls and women view themselves under the code-of-conduct and such religious edicts which apparently seem to have discriminated them. Keep up the good work sisters and try to be modest and nice with people who doesn't subscribe to your faith and also those who may be rude and unkind towards our faith. Wassalam!

What you are describing is a kind of *hyper-masculinity* - something that is way off side of the proper balance||
What you are describing is a kind of *superman* - but one that is abnormal in its exaggerations|
What you have described has more intimidated and terrorized in history than won admiration or respect|
Let me tell you something man|
You tried to invade Europe from Spain in 732 - you were whipped by Charles Martel.
You tried to invade Europe centuries later with an overwhelming force (Lepanto and Vienna)|
You were beaten back both times| (and the Cid took back Spain and drove out the Muslims)|
You wil suceed in Europe shortly - but only because God has decreed that as a just punishment for Europe's sins of apostasy and decadence|| || ||
Then the States will come in with a multi-million man army and clean your clocks.
The rest will retreat back to the Middle East|
Then when the Chinese invade the world, they will wipe you out||
Then that will be the end of Islam, bringing the reign of terror that Mohammed introduced into the world, 14 centuries earlier, to a complete halt|
Then Islam wil be finished for good!!

if you say "Has not this led to the fact that strong Muslims have appeared far more virile than the others?" and makes you more masculine than the others? i would say NO.
if you say "Has not this captured the respect and admiration of others and even encouraged others to follow our paths and accept our faith?" by killing and bombing innocent civilians, then the answer to your qn is hell NO.
if you think "if we follow the rules of our religion sincerely, we shall achieve the supremacy of this world in a very short time indeed". your religion has been in existence for centuries but you still have not gain any supremacy. this answer ur qn too. its a NO.

Masculinity is great as long as one does not take it to an extreme where it becomes.....well......UGLY. I'm sorry, but the way most men dress and groom themselves in many of the Muslim countries is not attractive to me, and it looks more gross and scary than anything else. Of course your women are probably O.K. with it since they know nothing else, and because they haven't really been given a choice, have they? You will probably notice that in countries where women have been given the ability to actually choose their own husbands, that the men in these countries usually shave and don't act so macho and "jealous". What this means is that women are probably not the gender you are going to attract with your over the top "masculinity". If anything, it's gay men who like THAT kind of virility. Good luck with that!

No I don't think so.
Yes, men have their role and responsibilities and women have theirs.
I disagree with those muslims who say that keeping a beard is compulsory in Islam. It is your personal choice and not one to be imposed by others. You can try to convince me to keep a beard but you cannot order me to do so.
Besides, there are much more important matters in terms of belief rather than outward appearance. The truth will prevail, I believe so, not the outward appearance of muslim men, that is a very shallow concept and makes us look like fools who believe in such things.

It's mainly certain gay men rather than women who are attracted to that kind of masculinity I would suggest.
It's a shame you can't control your megalomania for world domination, perhaps you should get yourselves some white fluffy persian cats to stroke just like that Bond megalomaniac Blowfeld, that is sure to change your image and contain your megalomania some...then again it didn't do much to contain Blowfeld's did it?
Real men think for themselves and will not be told what to think by others.

People have their choice not to let their religion dictates them what to do. Some muslim man is missing out so many things in life because of being too religious. Because the prophet does this does that then all have to do it and even call themselves same name. sighZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I am a Muslim and your question is not in good taste.
The Holy Quran lays down:
"You who believe, do not let one (set of) people make fun of another set."
"Do not defame one another."
"Do not insult by using nicknames."
"Do not backbite or speak ill of one another."
(49:11-12)
Your assumptions that Islam is a masculine religion, is absolutely incorrect.
Islam is so humble and prophet Mohammad was extraordinarily humble in his behaviour.
A masculine nature represents aggression which Islam doesn't permit.
Ask Allah for his forgiveness as He is merciful and forgiving.
