I suppose by learning you mean learning about the team's common goal, and that you want to know what I would do to enhance my learning.
1.Get as much information about the scope of the project, the roles of all team members (including myself); research the project from various sources.
2. Keep my eyes and ears open when there are team meetings, listen attentively, take part in the discussion seriously, understand the others' point of view, put forth my own suggestions and differences without criticizing or downplaying what others say. The idea is to get the best available thoughts and actions to work on the project.
3 Act my role as effectively as possible, take the criticisms of others objectively and say sorry without hesitation, if I find I am wrong.
4. Once the team's job is done, review the result with the team leader and other members for any possible follow-up action.
5. If other teams have been given similar projects, try to obtain their reports after those have been made public, so that I may get to know of better approaches or ideas than what my team had.
