Everyone knows that the phone number for the Queen at Buckingham Palace is "London 1", or as it would be with the current dialling code - 0207 000 0001.
Don't waste your time with that number!
By the way, if you want 10 Downing Street, that is "London 2" - 0207 000 0002 :-)

I've just tried it and I got put through to a woman, but she doesn't sound like the queen, however, she did say "THE NUMBER U HAVE DIALLED HAS NOT BE RECOGNISED, PLEASE CHECK AND TRY AGAIN!" She said this for about 10 times then it went dead. Do you think this is some secrete code the queen uses? :-)
