but more athiests. I walk down the street, go shoping and I donot even have to mention Jesus or God to them or even talk to them and they walk around very arigontly, and even when you go to but stuff at the supermarket the majority, not all but most of the atheists are so rude, have you noticed that?No wounder in the bible is says do not be yoked with unbelievers. I do not hang around them. I might talk to them if I bump in one but that is about it. My mother who is now divorsed married an unbeliever, and my dad used to beat her up and us kids, and get drunk all the time and sleep behind her back etc.I not saying if you marry a so called christan things will be roses but some couples I know who are christians are still together after more than 40 years adn both ore on fire for God and can pray together. I am not saying all atheiets are cowards but a large majority. Me and my daughter were at the bakerys a few months back buying fresh bread for lunch, and this girl (atheist )

slamed the change in my hand. I tolkd my daughter how rude she was, and she heard me and started yelling insults at me. I challenged her to come out and say it to my face. She wouldn't. I was so pissed of I ended up calling her every name under the sun, and then she started crying. I did not feel sorry for her. But after I got home I told God how angry I am and repented of my sins. God forgave me. The hardest part after confessing is to turn from them. Christians we are human too. But we need to take our sins to God everyday. I mean im not perfect. just forgiven. It is so hard to live a christian live expecially if someone yells at you for nothing. I put up with that from my dad for 17 years I an't going to put up with it from anyone else. How do you handle that kind of stuff christians?

I think that the Religion and Spirituality category is simply a way for both sides to insult the other. I am ashamed to be a human being at times for the way that so many people act. You are trying to sugar coat your rudeness, but you are still being rude. It does matter whether a rude person is a Christian or an Atheist - it is what it is. To answer your question, I try to walk away from rude people, and afterward, I try to be more aware of my own actions.

How on earth do you identify a Christian from an Atheist when you ar out in public? Check out the background of most sex offenders, epecially those against children, and you will see that christians are not excluded from being culprits. It is usually when man is at his most religious that he commits the most hidious crimes. But hey, as an atheist/pagan, I don't assume that the crimes or actions of one man, no matter if he claims to be Christian, is representative of anything or anyone else except himself. You're dillusional.

You said that it is so hard to live a Christian life when people yell at you for nothing ... um, didn't you yell at this girl and call her "all the names under the sun" simply for placing change in your hand?. I would assume that by your attitude here, you were probably already expressing aggression and hostility towards her and she was just relieved to be seeing the end of you. But no, then you started yelling abuse at her!!! I'm confused.

That's a lot of words to use to make a thinly-veiled dishonest insult. Shall we count the lies you just told?

1 - The claim that there are more rude atheists than rude Christians here.
2 - The claim that there are only one or two rude Christians here. In fact your own question was rude, and it's fairly rare for a Christian to post something here that is not rude.
3 - "They walk around very arigontly, and even when you go to but stuff at the supermarket the majority, not all but most of the atheists are so rude". Oh, please. You're telling us that when you go to the supermarket you just happen to come across a bunch of rude atheists, who are wearing signs that say "I'm an atheist", I suppose, and treating you rudely? Right. Why would you think that we'd just let such a silly and obvious lie pass?
4 - "I am not saying all atheiets are cowards but a large majority". That's obviously false, as it takes more courage - quite a bit, in fact - to stand up against the overwhelming religiosity of our pop culture.

Okay, there's four clear lies, interspersed with childish insults. I'll bet that guy your mother married wasn't an atheist at all (why should we believe you on that when the verifiable things you wrote are all lies?).

Later:

5 - "and this girl (atheist ) slamed the change in my hand". Right. I suppose she said "I'm an atheist" as she slammed the change in your hand, just before you attacked her.

Maybe your imaginary "god" forgives you, but it sure sounds to me like you're using that as an excuse for your lacking the character and courage to ask forgiveness of the people you're mistreating.

You do, however, have the opportunity right here to make it right. You just told a series of lies and threw insults at atheists:

Apologize to us for having done so, and admit that it was wrong for you to post this "question".

I see several other Christians here who should be posting apologies as well. Let's see you guys show that you really stand by what you say. You just reinforced the misbehavior of a little girl who told a series of lies about others. That's wrong, and you know it. If you really are trying to stand as a good example for your faith, here's where the buck stops: let's see you apologize for your behavior.

i might want to ignore her. She is self-righteous and stirring up branch between brethren. it is a case the position you are able to certainly ask your self "What might want to Jesus do?" there are quite some scriptures that allow you already know. listed the following are some: do no longer go back evil for evil. turn the different cheek. God hates causing branch between brethren. you'd be forgiven as you forgive others. human beings act in rude and unkind options for a variety of causes. You not in any respect understand what has surpassed off to this lady to make her the way she is. She has likely been dealt with with hatred and dismiss type others. At any fee, the way you cope such as her received't say something about her, quite it is going to say lots about the intensity of your personality. :-))

Not all atheists are like that but for those who are like that, it's their choice if they want to join us or not. In the mean time we should show an example to them if you want them to understand our religion. Remember, Christianity is all about love. We should be showing it to them not denying them. Because if we keep attacking them, it isn't really a friendly invite. If you were an atheist would you convert because some Christian started saying you'd go to hell and stuff? Remember in the Bible, Love never fails. :)

So you just treat people hosever you want and then go home and pray-then all is well. What about the people you were rude to? It sounds like you are the rude one not the atheist.

Huh... since we are generalizing I wonder the same thing about christians. I cant go anywhere (including sitting in the privacy of my own home) without one of them coming up to me to tell me Im going to hell and to buy muh fire insurance from them blah blah blah. I may be rude at times but on a whole I would say it is simply to get out of having to deal with you people trying to convert me.

And when is the last time you had people come to your front door and say,"Dont belive in god! Its the only way to live your life!"

I've noticed that some Atheists have a hard time accepting the "love" from Christians in the form of judgment, prejudice, and discrimination. People should feel loved when you tell them they're going to Hell.

Respect, intelligence, does anything ring a bell?

It's fine to have end of world fantasies and even claim "divine inspiration", but when the words coming out are hate, racism, bigotry and downright evil, how can you expect people to take it seriously?

Indeed, it is almost like the pot calling the kettle "black", don't you think?

as others have rightly stated, how on earth, did you know that they were atheists...because they were rude to you? So basically what you are saying, that if someone beats his wife or if someone is rude to you in anyway, they "must" be atheists? Is that what you're implying?

I've come across rude people, but one thing I never do, is attach a label to them...as such as you have, they're just rude "individuals"
