They'll be in supermarkets near the frozen food, take the whole pack to the airport though - your never going to use them for anything else and you may be able to sell the spares!!

We use resealable sandwich or freezer bags, available from all the major supermarkets. Supaseal is the make of the freezer bags and BACO "Zip n' Seal" is the make of the sandwich bags.
NOTE : The bag cannot be bigger than 8" by 8" (20cm by 20cm)
I have had a number of family and friends travel recently and these bags have been handed out at the Airport, but according to BAA this is a temporary measure.
Check the BAA website and they have all the security measures in full on there.

Yes you can buy these at any supermarket where the tin foil and plastic bags are. Look for self seal bags they usually come in two or three different sizes. If you can't find them some airlines will provide one for you. Have a safe journey!

It's just a 'ziploc' type bag that you use for sandwiches or something. However, at some airports, they will actually hand them out at the gate. Still, I'd play it safe and get one before you leave, or just check anything liquid into your checked-in bags.

don't worry you won't need to buy them - gatwick airport definately gives them out f.o.c - look out for the baa guys in yellow jumpers walking around the airport they have loads!! I'm sure all the other BAA airports would work the same e.g Heathrow. hope that helps! queues are massive at security at the moment so make sure you leave extra time too.

Depends on where you live. These are popular in the U.S., but not as readily available in some countries. Just use something clear plastic. And if security doesn't like it, they can give you their own.

it depends on what size you want, if its fairly small you can use food bags, freely available at any supermarket, if its some thing a little bigger you can try a stationers, d.i.y. stores do them as well. hope that helps.

it depends but in most airport before the custums you will find them.
I found them in Geneva Airport, Paris Airport and JFK Airport, so i don't think you will have any problem finding them.
Have a good trip !
