I want to know why one of them was the terrorist mastermind behind the Lebanese civil war of 1970's and the leader of Black September and the PLO?
The day Yasser Arafat was given any lip service from them was the day they lost all credibility.
If they ever offer anything to me, I'll have a press conference asking this question publicly, and I'll be tempted to take a crap on the prize on camera. (Being a Christian will likely prevent me from doing so. Impropriety and all that.)

They may not have been Nobel Prize winners, but they these Christians have contributed a whole lot to our society:
Louis Pasteur
Isaac Newton
George Washington Carver
Samuel Morse
Wright Brothers
Michael Faraday
But, yes, there is a lesser preponderance of Christian Nobel Prize winners than Jews, but more than Muslims.

Several have. The majority of the world is not Christian. Who do you think started the different fields of science, hominids? Unfortunately "most" scientist have been brainwashed since birth. To be a Nobel Prize recipient does not require morality or any theological knowledge or convictions, but only to meet the standards of man made goals. Some receive the Nobel Prize fr some fairly lame work. In God's eyes, its not such a lofty goal. Who are you trying to impress?

The majority of the population on this earth are not Christian, they would be Muslim or Hindu. Just because someone ticks the Christian box on the census form doesn't make them a pracising christian. And as for Christian Scientists? Well I know one, she is a Christian Science Practitioner and believes that she can heal people through prayer and affirmations. She believes that sickness and pain is a sign of sin. Does that answer your question?

The only source I could find to support this statement comes from Beit-Hallahmi and Argyle (1997) who say: "among Nobel Prize laureates in the sciences, as well as those in literature, there was a remarkable degree of irreligiosity, as compared to the populations they came from". This agrees with studies from the National Academy of Sciences which stated only about 7% of US scientists believe in a personal God.

Christians are not supposed to be too concerned with worldly things. A Nobel Prize would be nice for them but it has nothing to do with whether or not that person goes to heaven.

I'm not disputing this but I would like to see some statistics of noble prize winners who have declared where they stand on faith issues. How many Nobel prize winners are white males? How many are Hindu? How many are back females?
Before we can make an informed judgment on this I think we need some more facts.

The following article asserts that, at least in one case, discrimination against certain religious beliefs has played a part in the selection of Nobel prize winners.

Science and Christianity don't mix. You are either a logical scientist or and illogical Christian.
