Yes!! Who is going to even WANT to do that job, if when they TRY to do it, they end up being as you said,"railroaded and shafted". You are exactly right. What kind of message are we sending to these illegals anyway?

I don't know that he is " so quick" to pardon people. Those officers have already suffered sever beatings and no telling what else. I think he should pardon them, give them their jobs back if they want them, and give them back pay or a full pension. I agree, pardon those officers. I don't agree with the way you put it though, considering other pardons before Bush became president.

Not a pardon, but certainly not 10 and 12 years each. They did a lot more than just shoot a drug smuggler. The also cleansed the crime scene removing any evidence that could have been used to prosecute the smuggler. They failed to report the incident. Then they lied to investigators about it afterwards. We really do not need people like that protecting our borders.

YES!!! 100%
They should be at home with their families, not in jail because they did their job in stopping an illegal alien bringing drugs onto our soil!!!
Our country is so screwed when we take the word of a criminal over our law enforcement without even trying to check the facts.
At the most, those guys should have been suspended or perhaps fired. Jail is way out of the question.

Yes, I do because immigration and border, crossings for
drugs and whatever are illegal, I think that if someone,
comes across the border illegally they should be apprehended,
before they become a problem in the country they are entering...
If drugs are involved then they should deal with them in the
sternest way possible, before they get onto the streets of the
country they have entered...............................................................
I think that the Police and border guards need to deal with
illegal immigrants very firmly as well as deal with drug
dealers in the strictest possible way...............................................
If they should not be there and cross your borders, arrest them
or take whatever logical police action you need to in the circumstances.................................................................................

They had no right to be harrassing people at the border anyway. The United States has no right to controll entry into this portion of the continent. Those who enforce immigration laws and prevent entry should all be in prison for theft of the earth. No one has any right whatsoever to prevent others from doing drugs or encouraging drug use.
