Depends on what I fancy at the time, I love both dishes on offer. Fish and chips from the local chippy with lashing of mushy peas and maybe even some chip-shop curry sauce - mmmmmmmm!
Sausage and mash - loads of caramelised onions and rich gravy. And the mash I usually enjoy with either cheese melted in or a nice mustard mash. Also gotta have carrot & turnip mash just to get the 1 of 5 a day.

I think I like both equally!
Fish n chips is great with salt, vinegar and tartare sauce! the Harvester restaurant chain do a fabuous fish n chips!
Sausage and mash can be fab but the sausages have to be high meat content ones- i like Sainsbury's Taste the Difference chipolatas and served with frsh mash only- with plenty of butter, salt and pepper!

Sausage and Mash with gravy.
Or you could ponce it up with some high quality Cumberland style sausages, sweet potato mash and a red onion gravy. Not a bad idea for a simple Valentines meal.

Out of the two you propose sausage and mash! mash is such a great comfort food and you can vary sausage and mash immensely e.g. herb sausages, spiced sausages, mustard mash Cheddar mash and so on. What goes good with this Onion gravy of course mmmmmm.
My own personal favourite is faggots peas mash and onion gravy, all good warming comforting food for a cold night sat in front of the TV.

Sausage and mash
Make sure mash is well mixed with butter and a bit of milk. Chop up the sausages and mix them in to the mash. Then pour in some really hot beans, mix it all up again. Add worcester sauce if you want. Yum Yum
Eat from a bowl with a spoon

Sausage and Mash with peas and sweetcorn. Covered in thick gravy. Has to be proper thick sausages though, not walls or anything! and has to be proper mash as well.
ooh, can't wait for lunch now!

Hi there. It's got to be sausages and mash.....MMMM!! I like the combination of a bit of sausage and some mash on my fork when I eat them. It is lovely with fried onions, a good beef gravy and mushrooms!

Fish and chips without a doubt.
What goes well with it? Salt and vinegar, some bread and butter and a cup of tea.
