Shouldn't they live in wood and mud shacks or caves, wear robes and ride on donkeys and carts?... And as they refuse to acknowledge the scientific and medical communities they should use no computers or other modern day science-led technologies or medical facilities and stick with prayer and remedies recommended in the Bible perhaps...what do you think?

angela321: it's a bit rich asking me to provide evidence when Christianity provides none itself, you'll just have to take what I say on faith alone for the present purposes... you know how to do that don't you?

Hello Hush Hush.. :)
If it be the Lord's will for me to live in a mud shack, or a cave, I would gladly do so..for I would be honored, to be a missionary in my Lords service..
I personally have only had just enough money to pay my bills..I am Very Happy and content.. :)
We do not refuse Science, nor do we refuse the medical communities..for Luke was the beloved Physician.. :)
Why is it wrong for us to use the same technologies that everyone else has access to..some of these technologies were invented by Christians, that were and still are Scientists.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

I think this post is stupid. What does using computers have to do with following God's word? What remedies are in the Bible? Have you read any that you can suggest that we use? How do you know that 'biblical people' lived in mud shacks?
I really don't care if you can provide evidence or not. I just think it was really stupid for you to suggest that someone ride on a donkey and live in a mud shack. Neither have anything to do with following the word of God. Christians are not following the Bible. They should be following the commandments of God not riding donkeys and living in mud shacks unless they choose to. God never commanded anyone to live like biblical people. Many people in the Bible did not even live the way God commanded.

This is a pretty stupid question. Christians who strive to follow the Bible are to do so with the laws and principles it contains. There's no reason to think Christians should reject any kind of modern technology or convenience that's available today. Christians certainly are to reject the pursuit of money and wealth, things that will not contribute to their everlasting welfare, but nowhere do the scriptures state they have to cast off everything and live like a monk or a hermit. That's ridiculous thinking.

I am a christian and I do not refuse to acknowledge medical or scientific findings. I drive a nice car and have a great computer. The science and medical communities are not always right. Thus medications and scientific data are recalled or recanted daily.

listen it's belief and trust different person have diffenrent views some people althought they may not look religious from outside you may never know that how nice and religious they are from inside. A robber may never tell that he has robbed something
in the same way a religious person will never show and perform his prayers. You can never judge form outside try to see him from inside and then jump onto any conclusions. as your saying the people should live in woods like their ansisters that was past and now is present. theses were the conditions those times and now the many things has changed so if they lack behind they won't able to communicate with the modern world and world may concider them as nomads and neglect from the environment and ultimately they may end up. so the people of every religion must advance and adjust themself according to the present sourrandings. othere wise difficult to say what can happen.

hmmm that don't sound too bad. I would like to get into the muck with a barn yard duck all covered in barnyard muck
yes, we need to get rid of all this superficial bull we live in and go back to the state we had in the Garden of Eden. Paradise.
There would be not death, decease or robber! No gov't taking all your stuff. No war or taxes> no more school no more books dirty looks etc etc..I think we will get that again after this life ends our mortal days on earth...or what is a heaven for? peace be with thee

How did the people who were not Christian live long ago? Do you know who founded the different fields of science? Do you really want to know what I think?

Many people try to follow the 'teachings' of the Bible. I think that is the point that you are missing there.

NO, but we should try to be examples of God w/ the way we treat others ( Titus 2:7 - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you)

It's about power and ignorance.
Sadly, if most christians spent a little more time learning about the history of their religion, they'd certainly have a stronger faith and a deeper understanding of the world.
Yet this is often the opposite to what preachers teach their congregations.
