Have you noticed how many questions on here that the first part of the problem is a lack of communication? If only these people would be open and honest with the other, the bulk of the list wouldnt even be here.

Whether or not the question is stupid or not, or whether the askee just needs validation, the point is the same, If they communicated with the person(s) that they are asking about in the first place, the issue would be gone.

Lori: You dont give the advice to the people you mentioned that they need to communicate. For Cheaters and Abusers you tell them to get out and that person is never going to change. For Liars, if they havent talked to that person yes communication is the first step. Along with all the "I dont know what my man/woman likes in bed" "I like this guy/girl but dont know what to do", "I think my dad/mom hates me" "I have a problem with my guy/girls family" At least 75% of the questions here have to start with a communication answer. You chose to be devils advocate and pick the slim few that would not as an example, which in turns leads to another issue. I stated have you ever noticed "how many of the questions" and that the bulk would disappear, not all of them. =)

Lack of communication is the feel-good answer. The biggest problem with most of the questions and answers in this particular category is that the questioners ask a question seeking someone who will validate the decision they have already made---usually a very bad one.
Additional: I still disagree with you. You can communicate ALL DAY LONG to a cheater, or an emotional (or physical) abuser, a liar or whatever and the problem is still there. (And that's the root of most of these questions.) It's very simple to say "You need to talk to him/her," or give any other such version of communication advice as an answer when in reality the problem at root is that you (not YOU per say...but the asker) is an enabler. They WANT to stay with the cheater, liar, abuser etc and are just looking for someone to tell them it's okay to do it. Giving them the answer "communicate with them" is just giving them what they want to continue in their unhealthy relationship.

I totally agree. Some people don't want advice, they just want attention or some strange validation for the choices they've made. I try to answer questions honestly & politely. Not everyone is that way though. I could also do without the 13 year olds asking about sex. That's just wrong on so many levels! lol

sorry christy, gotta disagree with you, well, for the most part you are right, but lets face it, sopme of these questions are so damn stupid, it makes you wonder how the author gets home from work/school. Some are goofy as a run over dog, clueless, dumber thana sack of hammers.
their gene pool needs a good dose of chlorine.
but, there is hope, and I enjoyed venting on the idiots, thank you.

What distinction does it make which walmart she is going to. i understand this modification into basically an social gathering.. yet I do imagine she might want to talk with you.. on some aspect... in spite of the undeniable fact that telling you which of them walmart is only a tad petty for my area. My husband is extremely controlling.. interior the experience he thinks he might want to understand each flow i make. Its troublesome, because I have not finished something to make him ask your self etc.. i think smothered.. untrusted.. and intensely managed.. now and again to the point i elect to end the marriage.. So.. suggestion from the different end.. i wish this permits you quite. in case you want her.. basically supply her some area. You dont own her and neither does she own you. if you're so inquisitive about the position she is going and what she does.. do what I reported to my husband.. pass with me. sturdy success!

Communication is something the entire world lacks. Notice all the current events and issues. Perhaps if everyone spoke one language again--knowing how to speak it--, we would be too technologically advanced for our own good.

True but this is a question and answer forum so with out questions we couldn't give answers. When I ask a question I try to be as honest as I can so I can get good answers.

I don't think so and i guess most of the times it is us(who offer to answer) who do not understand the question and we choose to answer it and we end up missing the mark.

i think that you are absolutely right.
the other large sector of questions that should disappear are the ones where you KNOW the person is making it up. "i just got gangbanged and i am so embarrased." my uncle wants to marry me and my family says its ok" sheesh!
