When I've dun my hair it sits lovely but about 2 minutes later it flicks out at the sides !! I hate it. Suggestions please ?

Get a trim because it sounds like your ends are dead. Use a thermal protectant before straightening if you must do it and as someone mentioned above - Pantene......... DO NOT USE IT!! It is one of the worst products for your hair. It puts a layer of silicone on your hair which makes it look great for a couple of days but because of this, the hair doesn't get any nourishment and dries out. Hope this helps and best of luck!

This is the advice my hair dresser gave my friend with the same problem.
Use a good serum before usuing the straighteners but restrict the use of them to just a few times a week.
Using them to often will and does cause split ends and the only cure for them is having them cut off.

What type of straighteners are you using? I've got GHDs and my hair does stay straight with them. Maybe you need a wee trim off the edges.

Try getting it trimmed, using a moisturising shampoo/conditioner for damaged hair and making sure that every time you straighten your hair you use a heat protection spray. I love the tresseme stuff. It protects your hair and also holds it in place a bit!

Because you already have straight hair your damaging it by straightening it. try to put on some heat defecting spray or serum onto your before and only straighten the hair once and not go over the same area more than once.

Either have ends cut off or opt for semi permanent straightening at most good salons. This will last for several months and is kinder to hair in longterm than using straighteners regularly.good luck!

regrettably, GHDs are expensive... yet they're the ideal.. you will desire to seem on ebay for some... Even GHDs do no longer inevitably save your hair without delay ALL day, it relies upon on the situations... i.e, if it is humid or wet, your hair will flow wavy lower back (nicely, mine does!) in case you elect for some greater inexpensive straighteners, you will desire to easily would desire to save going repeatedly the comparable area of hair to get a physically powerful result. good luck!

Don't use straighters often. They will permanently ruin your hair.

If you hair falls straight naturally its best to just use that usually and only straighten when you want a special look.
