it depends to what kind of rubber you're talking about...some rubbers would even burn down your house after looting it, that would leave them with no prints.

It depends on how crazy in the head they are..but yes, normally they would just rob the place because assault and murder are much higher stakes and would be treated with more priority for investigations (and not to mention a much longer prison sentence if caught). But then they have those who freak out because you saw their face, and that could be a problem. Depending on how nervous they are and how smooth the robbery goes, the outcome can turn out any way. Hard to say...

robbers who rob businesses probably do not desire to hurt anyone. robbers who rob individuals don't care if they hurt you and it would certainly be entertaining.
