its very simple to get enough food for atleast 1200 calories...( im a growing teen so i get 1600) but 1200 calories is enough if u break your meals up into 5 meals... u can even have something sweet for a snack

see for breakfast im having 1 1/2 cup honey nut cheerios ( 220 calories) 15 grapes( around 30 calories) and 8 fl oz light soy milk (50 calories) for a total of 300 calories of break fast ..leaving u with 900 calories which is alot for the day still for dinner lunch and snacks....

so i really dont understand why people have a hard time eating healthy and watching their calorie intake and ACTUALLY measuring their food...its more then enough food ><

Try working for a living, including being a husband and a father, travel 8 hours a week and be naturally big. When I was in highschool I had no problem keeping weight off and in fact I probably ate 3000 cal a day. I was extremely active and had a hard time keeping weight on. Oh and I was 185 lbs at 6 ft. In college I lost my appetite and I also had a demanding job at UPS so I lost more weight and went down to 170. I looked like I was dying. By the time I graduated I was 190 and I couldn't get any smaller. The more I worked out and lifted weights the more I gained.

All that to say, not everyone has the same body type. Get over yourself and live life for a while then judge yourself.

It may seem to you because you are only a teen what is the big deal? Their are some factors to consider. Most people as they get older their body changes. What may have worked to lose weight in their teens doesn't work anymore. Your body changes and people change. For instance, when women start a family. A family takes up a lot of your time. It is not as easy to eat right or go to the gym as it use to be. It takes balancing and it is hard for some to keep that balance. In some cases, the balance goes out the window because their family takes top priority and not themselves. In the hustle and bussle they forget about themselves.

Actually, it is a lot of work to monitor your diet that carefully. And for many people, 1200 calories a day is not enough to sustain them. Yes, if you want to lose weight you have to monitor your calorie intake, but part of the problem is so many people eat food that is high in calories yet not very satisfying in terms of hunger. One of the problems I have is I work long hours and sometimes it's just not practical to monitor my eating that carefully.

people have a hard time losing weight because they dont know when to stop eating. something like 70% of humans overeat and in time train themselves to eat until they get over-ful, leading up to 3000-4000 calories a day. and we all know about 50% of people hate working out or walking or doing any sort of exercise so all they do is eat eat eat and no exercise leads to unhappy obese people who cant stop eating. we're all lazy and just want instant results which is never going to happen.

...which is why they came up with that surgery that shrinks your stomach to something like one-fifth of its size or smaller to help people get back down to a normal portion size.

that is why people have a hard time losing weight.

well it is some peoples genes and it is harder to lose weight or stay at a good weight..some people have thryroid problems...as you get older though your metabolism slows down and it is harder to lose weight...eat right and exercise is the only way i know to stay at a normal weight for your height and age....and bone structure....a lot of people do not care either if they are fat or not...i have met some like that...i myself am very weight concious but still i slip up once in a while...there is food that is so good that we just want to try once in a while
