It is possible although it is very dangerous for the people in the chopper. You could find more on youtube.com. Seeing is believing.

it was done on a New Years Day in San Juan PR.....sorry, don't remember the year..... it can be done, but it's tricky...........not only do you have all the high swirly winds that are around the top of a building, but you have the tremendous updrafts from the fire.....the San Juan rescue was an extrodinary piece of flying.....pilot put one skid againts the roof and people jumped aboard..see if you can find the video on line.......it's amazing!
