Its just an exclamatory expression in English. Just as you have "Are baapre" in Hindi.... :-)

This is what I think...
It's actually a derivation of "Oh my Lord!"
Many people however think it unacceptable to use the Lord's name in vain so one letter was substituted this becoming "Oh my Word"..

I have heard of "Oh My Lord?!", but never have I heard of "Oh My Word?"

To me, it means nothing; just a nonsense exclamation.
