he asked me out, i said no. and now he tells me, he's way too good for me or something. I dont want to sound shallow, but why does a simple "No" trigger such negativity among men. plus, he's really odd looking.

the no triggers negativity to cover the hurt. It takes alot of courage to ask someone out. If you want to say no, just say no as kindly and gently as possible, then if that doesn't work get firm.

Personally I don't find this man attractive at all looks kinda dangerous to me lol. Someone might think he is but hey, each to their own!
Looks like you've just dented his ego, its just the way men are. They think they can have any woman they want so are shocked when they receive a reality check.
I'm sure you are way too good for him. And he knows it!

He is ugly you have made the right choice and he is on one hell of a ego trip that is why he is saying that that is making your decision even better you dont want to end up with one ugly, swallow ego centric guy
