they always seem to dissapear every time i get my camera out, why is this?

they're shy just of you ~ back home, my worms aren't so shy -- they even give me special poses everytime I take out my camera... lol

Worms do not have eyes, but they're extremely sensative to vibrations. Mybe they picked up your presence when you were taking your camera out, or when you stepped closer. They do live in the earth remember....

try mornings and moist areas. they're prone to dessication. that's the time that they're usually out. and like what the guy above me said, they're sensitive to light and vibrations.
