the only bad exercise is the one that is performed improperly. if the body is conditioned there is nothing wrong with periods of high volume training. squats are nothing but beneficial for the body and endocrine system. squats are what separate the men from the boys in the gym. remember to stretch for a good 15-20 minutes after training.

Squats are not bad for your leg muscles. But If you do not do them right. You will mess up your legs. Not as in..not being able to walk. But if you do not do the squats correctly. The leg muscles on the front will bulge out and you won't developer your other muscles correctly. A lot of people don't think that could happen. But it's true. I did that in football. Now I have HUGE front muscles..and hardly any rear muscles in my legs. If you go to a workout warehouse or gym club. Ask someone for advice on how to do it correctly.

No, doing many squats won't really harm your leg muscles. However, you may experience problems with your joints. Squats can do a number on ankles, knees, and thighs if you strain them too much.

Squats are bad for you knees if you go down too low. It may be a great exercise for building leg muscles, but trust me, you will regret it down the road if you wind up having knee problems.
