At present, the Telugu language contains about 65% of
Sanskrit words. That is the highest at present. In all
the Indian texts that were written prior to 1600 A.D.,
Telugu texts contained even higher percentage of
Sanskrit words. The first line of one classic poem in
Telugu is:"Baala rasaala saala nava pallava komala
kavya kanyakan" - all the words are Sanskrit. Pundits
call it "Grandhika Andhram" (Telugu of classic texts).
The Puranas say that Goddess of speech Saraswathi spoke
Telugu when she started speaking as a child, and spoke
Sanskrit when she matured at the age of sixteen.

The language that had maximum Sanskrit words is Malayalam spoken in Kerala but not Telugu language. No doubt Telugu also got more words and the grammar came from Sanskrit but it is next to Malayalam only.

Telugu was only a spoken language but the entire poetry was in Sanskrit in the beginning. Nannaya Bhattaraka was the first man to write poetry in Telugu, translating Mahabharata. Thatswhy he was called Adikavi- the first poet. Majority of the words he took from Sanskrit. Later when Tikkana completed the book, it contained more Telugu words. the 3rd poet Yerrapraggada had
to fill the gap balancing between Sanskrit and Telugu words.
From puranas we entered to Prabandhas during Krishnadevaraya period during which Telugu words started taking domination.
When modern poetry of Karunasri, Jandhyala Papayya Sastry came it is mostly Telugu words.
Bammera pothana who translated Mahabhagavatham that is latter to Prabandha period, Telugu started to take dominant role. Most of his usages were very colloquial. "Nallani vadu" Ammala Ganna Yamma Mugurammala Moolaputamma, "Kaladu Kalandanedivadu kalado ledo" etc.
It is only poets imagination that Goddess Saraswati as child spoke Telugu and Sanskrit at matured stage.
Telugu because of its rhythm and musical nature shown can be spoken by even children. San skit because of its complexity said to have been spoken after acquiring some proficiency.

No doubt Malayalam and Telugu are having Sanskrit words. But maximum number of words used in Hindi. Sanskrit and Hindi go in parallel, including written Scripture.

Marathi seems to the closest in words, script and pronounciation. Hindi and other northi indian dialects have quite a few words and pronounciatiins from urdu and Arabic. While Souther languages have influence of Dravidian languages

The language having the maximum number of sanskrit words is called 'Sanskrit', Ancestors too all the available languages and cultured it and created words, voices and grammer and created Sanskrit Language and it is called the language of semi-Gods..
