After a good P2P server that won't clog up my lappy with spyware and all kinds of unwanted stuff!!

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.
OR
For torrents use.http://www.torrentpond.com/ which will let you search the 15 top torrent sites for what you are looking for. You will then need http://ct.download.com/clicks?t=25677882-6263d01b2c5633450d9d64a6ee1da809-bf&s=5&fs=0
to download the files.

Limewire is said to be the best for downloading music files and video files, but not for programs. Some says that it also shares viruses so use caution. Bearshare is also good, but some says that it shares spywares. Other P2P softwares include Morpheus, BitTorrent, Azureus, & Ares. I prefer Limewire.

Try soulseek - lightweight, spyware-free and it's much better for finding rare and obscure music than its mainstream competitors.
Limewire is loaded with spyware, despite what everyone says. I tried it for a week and had to reformat my hard drive to get rid of all the crap it loaded me with.
Torrent programs are fine, but it depends what you're downloading. I've got no interest in downloading TV shows and movies so I stick to soulseek.

I use limewire.com for small files, and Azureus for large files. To use Azureus you also have to download torrent files to open, which then track and download whatever it is you are after. I use mininova.org for the torrent files.

I use frostwire (http://www.frostwire.com/) it's like limewaire but a whole lot faster
