ok well I've been going out with a girl who was christian but not serious about it till well tonight..errr last night, and she now tells me that she is no longer going to fool around with me and the furthest she will go is making out with me, me myself am not christian I'm not religious, but for some reason she see's no problem with this and doesnt let that stop her from seeing me, but my question is, we've already fooled around quite a bit but now all of a sudden she has a rushing need to fufill herself with religion, and is laying down rules left and right about what I can and cant do, and quite honestly I think this is bull$#*t, I mean really I just got through a tough period of trying to be with her and have her friends leave us alone and now she is throwing all these christian rules on me...where where these rules before!?!
my question is should I wait a while for this girl to either come to her senses or what should I do?
she wont tell me how long I would have to wait or anything

Hey, it's her body and she has the right to decide what rules what not. Anyway, sounds like her conscience has sharpened in recent times, hence her declaration of rules on how far you two can go. I know it may sound absurb from your point of view, but trust me, I understand from her point of view.

Where were these rules before? She either didn't know them, or was too caught up in the love/lust between you two.

If you truly love her and intend on staying with her, you will respect her wishes. I see it as a good way for her to filter you out too if you were only wanting to muck around with her.

Are you with her just to fool around? If so, find someone else to fool around with. If not, if you are with her because you really like/love her, then respect her wishes. If you need to understand why all the rules, then ask her. There could be so many reasons. If you want to stay with her, you are going to have to respect her wishes. Hope that helps.

Well, I'm a Christian so I sort of understand the Christian rules. My mom did the same thing with my dad. She said that if he wasn't going to become a Christian, she wasn't going to marry him. From that day on, my mom would call my dad each night for a brief moment to read him a little passage from the Bible. I think that that was a great plan because you are pleasing God, him, and yourself. So, about your last question, she is already at her senses (if that makes sense). Hope my advise helps!

I think the reason why she is all of a sudden like this is because she feels guilty. The best thing that you can do for yourself is leave her. She wont fulfull that need you have without compromising who she is as a christian woman. She most likely stayed with you hoping that your religion wont split you up or in hopes of YOU changing. Rather just get out of the relationship if its not what you want. She needs someone of her own kind so its up to you to do the right thing.

You can hold your breath untill your face turns blue but this relationship WILL NOT work out. Here is the bible verse that proves my point.

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14

Unless you plan on changing (which does not seem likely) I think you should move on to someone who shares your beliefs

So do you really like her or are you just in it for the score? If you answer that question you'll probably have the answer for the rest of it....If she's worth waiting for then keep seeing her. If not, then move on. Chances are she doesn't know how long you'll have to wait. Sounds to me she's just freaked out about the possibility of having sex. Whatever the case respect her wishes.

Well i guess i have been in the exact situation as you and to be honest it got much worse he then wanted me to come with him to church and hang out with his christian friends that were preaching to me left right and centre..... he even said we should talk to other couples how we have grown in our relationship...believe i hated every moment of it and it ended very shortly even though i gave him a chance!! She may be different but mine was a total disaster... and how can you resist fooling around after you have already... my advice GET OUT!

It could be that she feels pressured, and the religion is her way of keeping you at arms length without making you mad. Give her time, and don't ask when. She will eventually be ready to go further, but if you press the issue it will only take that much longer.

Regardless of her reasons, if she no longer wishes to participate in certain activities it is her choice to make. It is also your choice to stay with her or not. Trying to dissuade her of her beliefs isn't going to help either of you. Decide if you can deal with the way things are now or not. If you can't, dump her. If you can, stay but don't try to pressure her into anything.
