You don't need any "h" letter, because the "co" in Italian is pronunciated as /ko/.
"Giocare" is the infinitive of the verb to "play", so If you want to say " I play" in Present Tense, you need to change the verb..It's " Io gioco", meaning " I play".
Hope that helps!
Have a great day!

Giocare is a phonic verb.
H come into play only in two person:
io gioco
tu giochi
egli gioca
noi giochiamo
voi giocate
loro giocano
you see, the "C" sounds is always hard, like a K. To ensure it is read correctly, when the verb termination is with a "i", the h is inserted.
similar verb is "vogare" to row, "litigare" to fight, "pregare" to pray, ... in fact all verbs in "care, "gare
a verb in "cere, "gere, "giare, "ciare on the contrary will insert a "i" to ensure the sounds stay soft:
Marciare - to march
io marcio
tu marci
egli marcia
noi marciamo
voi marciate
egli marciano

Sunflowe is totally right! But if you really keen for jokes and you do feel the spirit of play within you, I'll tell you this: in addition to all above, if you happened to live in Toscana, there, you would pron ounce the word Gioco as gioho, for in that zone, people tend to pronounce the k sound of c accompanied by a voyel as ho!
So, you are...right in a way!!!!!-
Ciao.........John-John.

You can choose between the above three answers; all of them are correct from their perspectives and only complement each-other.
Close your eyes and pick one answer, you won't be wrong. Otherwise, you got sufficient info on "Io gioco" and "(Io) ho giocato", or give more additional details on what you need or what you want to know.

there is no 'H' in "io gioco." The c and o automatically pronounce the 'ko' sound. It is when c and i for 'tu giochi' comes into play, because c and i together is pronounces "chee" in English, so adding the 'h' changes it to be pronounced 'kee'
