Try out "Tata Mcgraw Hill's Social Science" reference book. Also get the "S.Chand Question Bank" for social science and "Together With Social Science" reference book.
First, read the textbook thoroughly. Then memorise and write down the Q/Ans of "Together With" and"Tata Mcgraw Hill"..... ..About 90% of the questions of the "Together With" come in the exams. The Answers of Tata mcgraw Hill are REALLY GOOD.Go through the questions(and not answers) of S.Chand Question Bank....
As for Geography, buy a few "practise maps" from the market and practise drawing on it.It helps a lot in time of exams.
Also,go through 5years of sample papers. And buy CBSE's sample paper booklet.
Remember to adhere to the word limit.underline the important words and sentences.Always list the points of difference in the form of a table.Try to avoid lenghty paragraph answers;try writing your long answers in points.
If you stick to your textbook and practise the Q/Ans of the references I mentioned,You will do fine.Don't get nervous and GOOD LUCK!!!
