Good question. Do you have any *real* proof that it isn't? I mean something more than Al ('I invented the Internet') Gore running his mouth?

What bothers me more than the prospect of 'Global Warming' is how it has become so politically incorrect to even 'ask' if global warming might be a natural phenomenon. It's certainly obvious that, after the Ice Ages, we went through a period of 'Global Warming'. And there is plenty of Geological evidence to show that the planet has, in times past, been quite a bit warmer than it is now.

Have we gotten so egotistical that we are now going to attribute those things (which happened thousands and millions of years ago) to our actions? And just blindly say, "We're doing it. It's happened before, but it's our fault this time."

And, even worse, are we suppressing freedom of thought and criticism in Scientific circles?

Right now the paradigm in Research Funding seems to be leaning towards: "If you don't agree with the current, politically-correct speculations and work very dilligently towards finding ways to 'prove' them correct, then we aren't going to fund any more of your research. And, in fact, we may just publicly discredit you in the tabloids."

If science ever gets *that* fµcked up, you might as well get a degree in History and learn how the Nazis did the same, exact thing in WWII ☺

You say "Yes, there's more proof everyday that global warming is a political argument, not a scientific argument. Everyday we hear more scientific studies that link warming to natural occurrences than to anything that done by man. And after the record breaking cold in this country, crop damage in Florida and California, record snow in the northeast, record cold in the northern hemisphere, who could even argue that there is a warming trend? Global warming sounds like the next Y2K scare!"

That's what I say when people ask me if so-called global warming is natural.

Everything is natural, including pollution, plastic, and nuclear weapons.

Unless you wish to declare man is either artificial or supernatural? (And on what grounds?)

You're right, the planet has a cold and is trying to eliminate it. US.
