Italian Porco is meaning in English "pig, hog ,swine, pork (in cooking).
It's also meaning "lecher, dirty person ".

Not too nice meanings.... but these are....!

I am surprised one of the above contributors did not tell you that your surname "does not exist" because he cannot find it in the Italian phone directory. A few weeks back the existence of a modern day Italian hymn writer, and more recently that of two genuine 16th century artists were denied on previous Q and As, because their names did not appear in the telephone book!

I am also surprised that you posted this question as you seem perfectly acquainted with your Sicilian origins and you cannot have failed to have been teased by your mates at school, or by the amicable "connections" you mention in your blog. So nice one!

As" broads" all know, Porco is what Italian wives call their husbands when they do the dirty on them, and it is what other drivers call you when they do not like the way you drive...
As you already know, it is also the name of a very valuable animal who excels at finding the "pearls of oak forests" (truffles)... in other words: an animal of discernment.

Sorry deeker, but Porco means PIG. Hey, if the shoe fits....Hell, it ain't that bad. There's an old Sicilian family running around with the surname Porcograsso which means literally, 'Fat Pig'! You'll see that last name once in a while down around your neck of the woods in the metro Newark, New Jersey area. Minchia!!!!!!!!!!!!!
