Hi there. I have thick hair, and what works for me is Shock Waves ultra stron Tuff Stuff Gel by Wella. Also, maybe you need to consider to go to the hairdressers and ask them to use thinning scissors on your hair, this should help your hair to spike up easier.

Well, according to "There's Something About Mary," semen seems to work wonders! LOL j/k
Seriously, I recommend Hair Glue by Got 2b. It's called Got 2b Glued and it's for a fact, one of the strongest hair glues made in the world. It's in a yellow container and can be found at any local retail store. Wal Mart sells it for about $5 I believe.
Trust me... once it's in, it STAYS until you wash your hair. It works for ALL types of hair, thin or thick; short or long. You won't be disappointed!

When I was a teenager and a couple of my friends had mohawks they used to use egg whites, or plain gelatin to get them to stay up.
The eggs work well, but obviously can smell bad. The gelatin didn't smell, but could be a bit sticky. You want to get the plain kind, not like Jello brand or anything. It should be in the same section, if not ask the store. It might also be in the baking section. Just follow the directions on the package to prepare it, but instead of turning it into gelatin, use it in your hair just before it hardens.

Try Dax in the red tin - takes some getting out though.
Failing that the 70's Punks used sugar and water or soap. Don't know what happens if it rains though!

Try Redken. Their regular products are stiff, but the men's line will make your hair hard as rock!
