Personally, I think the whole concept of hell is ludicrous and makes no sense at all. After all, God is said to be a loving, forgiving, caring being yet He supposedly created a burning pit where you have no chance of escape or redemption if you violate one little rule of His. Think about it...that's like your mom and dad going "Okay, honey. We love you and we'll forgive anything you do, however, you break one rule of this house and we'll shove you into the fireplace!"

Don't worry about it; it's a level of coersiveness that's unsupportable by any reasonable person. Thought Police - I guess that's some people's idea of the Divine Source; a being that, like a super-Santa, not ony knows when you've been bad or good, but also knows what you're thinking and will punish you accordingly.
You must think according to doctrine - you must think what we say is good for you to think, and not think what we say is bad for you to think...
Feh!
"The more taboos and prohibitions there are,
the poorer the people become.
The more deadly weapons there are,
the more our fears turn us numb.
When craftiness spreads far,
the more bizarre what is done,
The stricter the laws there are,
the less the robbers run.
Therefore, the wise know
to make no one a foe.
The less coercing we do,
The more tranquilities grow."
Lao-tzu (abt.551-479 BCE) from Tao Te Ching

YES! Even one lustful thought or one little white lie in your whole lifetime will send you to hell. If you think you will ever enter the presence of a perfectly Holy, Righteous God in a perfect heaven with any sin in your life you're kidding yourself. Only perfect people will enter heaven. That's why the religion of good works can never bring anyone to heaven. That's why you can never enter heaven just by living a good life. Living a good life does nothing to account for your sin and no sin will ever enter a perfect heaven in the presence of a perfect God. That's why I believe Christianity is the true way to God. Because it's the only religion that accounts for all sin. That's why Jesus Christ took on a human body and came to earth and died on a cross. He came to die for the sins of the world and He paid for those sins. Now the way to heaven is open to those who repent from their sins and turn to Him and follow Him. Those people are perfect in Gods eyes. They're not perfect in a practical sense because as long as they are in this body they still cannot be sinless. But they are perfect in a legal sense. If I committed murder and I was given the death penalty and my father decided to go to the electric chair in my place, I would go free. I certainly wouldn't be innocent because I killed a man but in a legal sense my record would be clean because someone had already paid the price for me. Those who turn their lives over to Christ will enter the presence of God perfect in a legal sense because Christ paid for every sin they ever committed and ever will commit.
You say you don't believe in hell. That's totally besides the point. The real question is, IS HELL TRUE? Truth is objective. If something is true it doesn't matter whether people believe it or not. If something is true and everyone in the world believes it's false, it's still true. Truth is what corresponds to reality. Something is true because it's real. It exists. It's not true because people believe it or don't believe it.
If you were standing on the beach in Thailand on December 26, 2004 and everyone started running and they were all yelling at you and telling you to run because there was a tital wave coming and you just stood there and didn't move an inch and said to them, "I don't believe in tital waves", do you think you'd be alive today? What you believe doesn't mean a thing. If there is a possibility of going to hell after this life is over, you better make sure you're right in how you prepare for the next life. If you don't, you're playing russian roulette with eternity.

You learn to control your thoughts by subjecting every thought to the Christ mind. Don't worry about going to hell, worry about not knowing your God and creator! He has done marvelous things and wants you to know him, He has an inheritance for you! Go read john and see what Jesus is talking about, it is the secret. His holy spirit will give you a new nature, what we call being born again, that's the goal, if you have this spirit , you are not going to hell!

that's a complicated question with a complicated answer. the father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are 3 identities, 3 persons, of the Being we've titled in human language as God. His Hebrew identify, Elohim, is a unique call that truly ability "gods." i individually see Jesus as being the suggestions of the Trinity. enable me repost area of a weblog get entry to I wrote over a year in the past: The suggestions of God “Who has well-known the suggestions of the Lord that he would coach Him? yet we've the suggestions of Christ.” In John's gospel, that's outlined that Jesus isn't in basic terms God in flesh, yet God's very notice—a necessary area of the very introduction of the universe, and intricately related with the Spirit. inspite of each little thing, spirit, breath, and wind are all correct words. some languages even use one notice for all 3 of those. all of us be conscious of that without breath you won't be able to have words. So it is going without asserting that that if Jesus is the notice, then He can not exist without the Spirit. And, of course, if he's the Son, then a Son can not exist without His Father. Nor might a Father be observed as such till He had a Son. yet which area of God's soul is the Son? The Greek notice for notice is trademarks, from which we get our English notice logic. suggestions are logic. The suggestions is the logical area of the soul; the area from which words come. each little thing i've got written so some distance is born of my logic and understanding (and enable me in simple terms upload a disclaimer that i'm in basic terms human, and if my logic is improper, i'm open to correction; yet those suggestions are a consequence of my remark—my point of view). If Jesus is the logic of God, then that, i assume, might make Him the suggestions of God.

Strangely yes. Even thinking about doing something sinful is a sinful act itself.
Personally I can't see why, if someone says "What if..." the first thing you're gonna think of is the result, it's unavoidable without intense mental training that most people don't have the capacity for.
You'd think that it's okay since nobody can tell what you're thinking right? Well actually no, the Almighty can READ YOUR MIND. That's fair, right?

You don't go to hell for thinking "bad" thoughts, you go to hell for acting upon them. And i don't mean the hell of devil, lucifer, whatever. I mean the heaven/hell that exist right now. Actions are their own consequence.

I totally believe in hell but I don't believe you go to hell for your thoughts. You go to hell because you don't accept what Jesus Christ did on the cross for your sins.

God understands that we have sinful thoughts that are bad. For Example if you think of having sex with someone other than your wife/husband. That is a sinful thought and you should ask God for forgivness for it.

You can go to hell ESPECIALLY for your thoughts.
But, if the last thing you think about when dying is Jesus, then you get into heaven. Which is why a lot of people carry a picture of Jesus on a necklace and put up pictures of him everywhere.
