I'm trying to find out what my share is of the electric bill

It happens to be illegal to have more than one consumer on an electric meter.

If you're renting, there MUST be one per apartment / condo / townhouse, etc.

The reason for this is that the rate isn't going to be constant. Sometimes you'll have the dryer, washer, lights, TV, and electric heat operating ... and the other guy will be out of town. Or it could just as easily be the other way around! ... or anywhere in between.

However - for the PERIOD that you've taken the measurement;
(Total time) = (Time for A) + (Time for B) = 140 secs.
(Time for A) = 90 secs.
(Payment A) = (Bill) * (Time for A) / (Total time) = Bill * (90/140)
(Payment B) = (Bill) * (Time for B) / (Total time) = Bill * (140-90)/140)

House that takes 140 secs = 60.86%
House that takes 90 secs = 39.14%

i think
house 1 (90*100/140)%=64.2857%
house 2 (50*100/140)%=35.7143%
