Tongs are easier and quicker, the difference is, you will have to leave heated rollers in your hair until they go cold to get the curl with tongs you get the curl within a few seconds!

heated rollers are individual heated rollers you put on your hair and leave in for a while. a curling tong is a heated metal rod that is used to curl the hair section by section by wrapping a strand around the iron and keepping it there for 15 seconds or so.

Heated rollers are easier as you can put them in and get on with your make-up/getting ready whilst with tongs you have to sit in front of mirror, or if cordless wander about one-handed!
I always found that putting the rollers in, getting ready then just fini off with tongs if needed was best.

I have both but i prefer my heated curlers
I heat them up while i make a cuppa in the morning then put them in my hair while drinking my tea
Then I'm free to get on while they are curling my hair
With curling tongs they are more versatile but you cant do anything else while using them
