Sometimes I'll be watching television and it will make random crackily noises or the screen will slow down for a couple of seconds. It's only been happening since we've got the digital set top box.

Don't worry...your TV is fine , the box is fine.....

When you lose digital data packs, you'll hear pops/crackles in AUDIO and freezing / blocky PICTURE.....NOT NECESSARILY TOGETHER EITHER......

This is likely due to Poor signal getting to the set-top box (or poor antenna situations when you have your own antenna or a satellite system)....

Picture may look good, BUT.....If you go to a Low definition channel (channels 2 to 70 in the USA) and it's noisy, then you have a signal problem from the Cable provider....CALL HIM FIRST!
