Was John Lennon correct in saying that Atheism had Won?

No, atheism is unbelief, and all unbelievers will perish, that does show that atheism will eventually lose. John Lennon by the way is in hell being tortured. A group of chrstian youths were taken in 1995 by Jesus to hell to show them that hell exists and to get them to tell the world what they have seen. Jesus showed them John Lennon hanging upside down in great pain in the burning heat. Christianity will prevail, and will ultimatley win. So that proves how much God hates unbelief. All unbelievers will end up in hell and then eventurally wind up being cast into outerdarkness where there will be weaping and knashin of teath, they will be consumed with an intense fire that will consume them for all eternity. So to answer your question Atheism will have no part on the kingdom of God.And John Lennon is getting what he deserves.

Atheism these days is belief in non-existence.

I think some of your statement has truth to it but the part about kids touring hell, John Lennon hanging upside down, etc. is pretty far fetched. I don't recall a Biblical account of something like that ever happening. If I understand it correctly, Satan isn't actually in hell yet. Satan is busy tempting, bringing harm on earth. Just as the Bible teaches, satans day will assuredly come and he WILL spend eternity in torment. But..Satan's time hasn't come yet so I doubt that others have really experienced it yet. There are plenty of bad and good people mentioned in the Bible that such a thing could have happened to so, why didn't it?Yes, there is a place of eternal torment called hell and without the forgiveness won by Jesus the un-repentant sinner, unbeliever, wrong faithed person will experience it. I hope that can be avoided before it's too late.

I do believe that Christianity will prevail. No doubt about it. But you are not a very nice person saying that John Lennon or anyone else for that matter deserves to burn in a torturous Hell. Who made you God and judge. John Lennon and anyone else who has died are just asleep in their graves, that is what the word hell means. Study it and then see how you view it.

Dear SIRIUS,

First let me say that not everyone on this site who claims Christianity is indeed a Christian (that is ultimately between them and God). Hell is indeed a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth-- but not sure where this person is getting his information concerning the group of youths in 1995 and seeing hell, etc.?? (Sounds kind of funky and unbiblical to me).

Usually when someone deviates from the Bible it makes me a little skeptical (after all to be a Christian is to follow Christ- and everything Christ instructs us - will not violate His word).

Some of the comments made (ie: John Lennon is getting what he deserves) do not reflect Christ's love. Because anyone who is in God's kingdom- does not deserve to be there- but are only there because they have received what Christ did on the cross. No one can say- i deserve Jesus dying for me. We don't deserve it, or earn it, but we can be grateful for it. And i think when a Christian reflects upon that- they ought not to be so pompous as to show a lack of grace to others. Based on Lennon's life- it seems that he defied some of the teachings of Christianity-- ie: He peed on some nuns out of a window once... (but his salvation is between him and God).

Hope that helps.

Kindly,

Nickster

sirus: Would God really sentence John Lennon - who never had a realist, solid understanding of Him, to a life in a Hell fire for ever? What about the billions of people, who never had a chance to come to know about a God - are they too going to be fired up for an eternity? Stalin wouldn't allow God to be acknowledged in Russia nor did the communistic Chinese - are they going into the fire too ? As a Christian, I beg to differ. I was taught that God was / is - in the SAVING business.

Even Jesus would have to like the music.
It is pretty hard to make John Lennon any more of a sinner than perhaps a bit of an ego (I am more famous than Christ).
In his song, even he had to 'Imagine' a world without God.
Now, I cannot speak for God, but all things being equal, he did preach LOVE and PEACE. I think this alone should get him in.
TO HEAVEN.

I keep hearing people say they were taken to hell to warn people what its like. That wasn't what happened to me it was like this. I was salted with fire. Salted with fire is like this. A man starts a fire with coals he wants his son to feel the pain associated with the fire so that he wont get burned. The man takes tongues grabs a coal and places it next to his son so that he can experience the pain. then it is placed back in the fire. This experience is how i can explain Jesus parable. He gathers the wheat and places it in his barns. the weeds are goatherd and placed in bundles. these bundles are Hell, Death, Hades, place of burning sulfur, Abyss" were fallen angels are placed", their could be more, i didn't feel them. After the books are opened at the end times, the Bible states death and Hades will be thrown in the Lake of Fire multiplying the pain even more. then those found wanting will be cast in. Also, a person is judged meaning reaping what they sew, the pains they have caused in their life are spiritually goatherd and sewn into their soul were they experience what they have caused for eternity. Also, these pains can be increased such as seven fold. Their is also a place called Sea of Life were i think souls of those departed go and enter a state of slumber, a rest until they rise to receive their aloted inheritance, These coals were souls and fallen angels.

Not really. They don't know if John Lennon is burning in hell. No one can say that and be right. John's final place is between him and God, no one else. And no, Christ wasn't about condemning people. He never did that and neither should anyone else. You'll find tons of self righteous hypocrites on here. Take it with a grain of salt.

ignorance must be bliss, huh ? if you knew anything about what you are typing, in this case, you would know that 'hell' or the lake of fire judgement, as stated in the bible, doesn't happen until after Jesus returns. Have I missed it ? Or is your understanding so flawed and full of holes that your question is all nonsense ?
You should change your name to 'wallowing in atheism'. how's that sound ?

I can't imagine this person winning any collegiate awards, can you?

I hate it when people take it upon themselves to just make stuff up and pass it off as the truth. Don't they have enough self-respect to know how dumb they look?
