idea of god begetting son is taken from roman/greek/hindu paganism. Old testment is totally silent about begotten son.

SON ALSO MEANS DESCENDANT
It is mentioned in the Gospel of Mathew, Chapter 1 verse 1
"Jesus Christ, the son of David,....".

"And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, ....."

God has only one son..as said in john 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, for whosoever believe in Him should not perished but have eternal life."

God has only one son. If you read the Bible, you would know that. And, He only sent the one son for one purpose... to die for our sins once and for all but... only for those who believe in Him and repent!
