Does a large quantity in your diet make you tan quicker? Does it contribute more so to freckles/age spots? And makes your skin look dirtier?

I ask this because whenever I have a scab and eat foods with high dose of soy sauce in them the healed skin is darker. Also nations such as Korea who don't eat that much soy sauce have better skin than nations with a high intake (China)..

I don't think soy sauce will make you tan quicker. Soy sauce gets its black colour becouse it's basically fermented soy beans and with any organic pruduct, when it ferments, it turns black.

New skin growing fairer or darker depends on the amount of pigments concentrated in that certain area. For myself, my scars are almost always darker than my normal skin areas.
