This is no reflection on God, only the people who make up the churches. Different denominations don't signify a divided church because the purpose of each is the same, to come together and worship.
"You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men? What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building." 1 Corinthians 3:3-9

Hi !!!!

YES!!! You said it and is true!!! GOD IS LOVE!!!

The church is filled up with people, and NOT just because people go to church that means that all of them go for the same GOOD reasons!!!

Please don't doubt GOD for what the humans do!!! Freewill,
let people do and think in different ways!!! And the church divided is the work of Satan, NOT GOD!!! As Satan can divide churches, but NOT the hearts of people that believe in GOD!!!

GOD BLESS YOU, AND PRAY, THE ANSWERS WILL COME TO YOU DIRECTLY FROM GOD

Because some people don't like what the Bible says and want to change it to what they want to hear and live by. They want something that says that their way of life is right. Same w/ Athiests and all religions....they want to be right. If you listen to religious arguements then you'll notice that its not about saving people's souls....its about justifying their beliefs and trying to prove that they're right.

The one church that is mentioned in the Bible can only be found in the Bible. Find a church that follows what you (in general, not a specific "you") read and understand from it.

I don't think that has anything to do with God, but it has everything to do with man. If you look at the different churches, then you would see how some people believe one way and a different church believes another way. Man has picked and chosen what parts of the Bible they want to follow and not really following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Don't get confused with the church world (a really good Bible based church is not easy to find). Study the Word and make up your own mind about the doctrine/teaching of which group you want to meet with.

god has never been love but the means of taking love and turning into some one else's manipulative benefit instead the imagination of man in all his primitive glory is the most appalling ignorance of mans entire endeavor on the planet . lies and greed the two most needed ingredients for controlling the ignorance of others so they tell you that you 're made in a gods likeness what is this if not flattery to gain control and favor . it's goes on and on use your natural critical mind for your own maturity and goodness will grow out of your new found honesty. Anyone can think good if they aren't confused by professional charlatans and liars as are used by religious and political agendas.
All I ask is that you take caution and not trust the preacher or politician as they turn your children's cheeks for their own sick purposes. if you only read the bible try the newspapers sometime they tell the story of the corruption the bible over looks.

Dear buflobut,

God is love- but the truth is not all churches adhere to what Christ has taught. In terms of just different religions (not everyone agrees on who God is and the answer to this questions has quite a few implications on other important matters).

In terms of denominations they are in some ways a healthy thing- because different denominations place emphasis on different things and the way they govern their church is different. Non-denominational churches- follow the lead of their pastor (it's a good thing if the Pastor is following God). Baptist churches vote on a lot of things (and it comes down to how closely their governing board is following God). While there are different denominations (at least in mainline Christianity) the key is how closely the people are following God. There are certain essential doctrines that these churches must agree on (Who is God? How does a person come into a relationship with God?, etc.)

There is the idea of the local church (the local body of believers that you go to church with) and the body of Christ- which is everyone who believes in Christ. i recently came back from a missions trip in Hong Kong- where i served kids who live in China (caucasian, from malaysia, korea, etc.) kids of missionaries and we ran a children's camp for them with missionaries from Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, etc. This was the body of Christ at work. But we also all serve and worship at our local churches.

We see this also in the Bible that's why there's Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, etc. All these were local bodies- but they all adhered to the teachings of Christ.

Hope that helps. Feel free to email if i can clarify anything.

Kindly,

Nickster

The church is divided because the church does not understand God. God cannot be found in churches .. The kingdom of God is within.

because alot of people do not read there WORD OF GOD anymore there are a lot of factors that all point to it like some just like the christian image that people view they like the way JESUS makes them feel they like the things that they can do in the spirit they say well if the pastor says it it must be of GOD then not wanting to test the words of the pastor up against the word OF GOD they sit in the pews and think that they have it good that no one is holier than them i am not saying anything bad about people it is that it really is the blind leading the blind and GOD IS LOVE HE IS MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS HE IS A JUST AND FAIR GOD the BIBLE SAYS IF YOU LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS THESE 10 COMMANDS ARE THE BACKBONE OF A TRUE WALK WITH THE LIVING GOD HE DID NOT COME TO DO AWAY WITH THE LAW BUT TO FULL FILL IT people want to put JESUS IN A LITTLE JAR AND JUST USE HIM WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT SORRY MAN NOT GOING TO HAPPEN he is not a first aid kit that you carry around with you and flash him whenever you feel like it plain and simple JESUS IS THE SOON COMING KING AND LORD OF ALL HE IS GOING TO STRAIGHTEN OUT PEOPLE AND THERE WAYS OF LIFE BUT I LIKE WHAT JOHN THE BAPTIST SAID WHEN HE SAID "REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND"""
