"It has been shown that there are new species forming all of the time"
OK, name some.
Not all Christians are creationists, anyway.

Really? I'm a Homo Sapien? LOL! Could you be any more condescending if you even tried??? I know what a Homo Sapien is, I have been to college, and last time I checked, none of the whopping 2 species you named are new! I was going to use my joke about, "Not me! I like girls" but you have such an obviously bigoted opinion of Christians, you would have thought I was serious. Homo Sapiens were already well established when the Bible was written. Homo Erectus was already extinct. As I said professor, I believe in Evolution AND (please try to read slowly) I am a Christian. Genesis doesn't have to be interpreted literally.
Next time keep your questions in the Dental category and see what 4 out of 5 dentists says.

Actually, although many new species are DISCOVERED all time, no new species has been observed to EVOLVE from a previous species since the origin of biological science 3,000 + years ago. As for weighing in on evolution--it is not the place of religion to do so. People who mistake the mythologies of their religions for literal truth are practicing superstition, not religion.

New species are not forming, they are being discovered. According to your theory, evolution would be screaming along --- why are new species forming all the time? Last I checked, scientists believe evolution takes millions of years.

They claim species change a little, but not a lot (=enough to turn into a different 'kind'.)
They term the first microevolution and admit it; they term the second macroevolution and deny it.

Since God made all things (Genesis 1), it is probably safe to assume he can and does make more. Simple as that.

Religion provides an insufficient and baseless answer: God created the world in any given period of time (e.g. 7 days).
