Jesus would stand on the right side. How could God be anything but prolife? Can you picture the Creator destroying his creation? When I was young and dumb, I believed in abortion if the pregnancy was inconvenient. Not for myself but ok for others to make that choice. Then my son was dating a girl and they came to me to tell me she was pregnant. You can imagine how shocked I was when they told me the baby was not my son's but her dad's. She recently had another abortion of one of her dad's babies and didn't want to do it again and he was going to force her to. I took her right down to the cop shop and they arrested him. I told Sherry she could stay with us until the baby was born never dreaming she would keep it but she did. We had her all fixed up with an adoptive couple and it was a go until some dumb nurse brought the baby to her to be breast fed. I could see love for that baby written all over her face and she did keep her. Now, Lindsay is all grown up and I look at her and think how could anyone think that she didn't deserve her right to live because of the way she was conceived. She is a beautiful girl who looks just like her grandpa. She has no congenital problems and they recently had their first baby and it is fine too. It really turned my head around to be right in the middle of seeing the life of a child that almost all of society would say should have been aborted. NO, she should not have. She deserves the right to live and she got it. I'm glad I came down on the right side of that issue. One of my sisters got the measles while she was pregnant with her first baby. They told her that 100% the baby would have congenital issues. She said that she wouldn't kill it but would leave it in God's hands. At that time in my life, I'm not sure I thought she was right but she didn't have to be. She trusted God and she had a miscarriage about a week later. I have had so many friends and relatives over the years who aborted the only pregnancy they ever had. It messed them up one way or another and they could never have another baby. Do they regret it? You bet your life they do. I have another friend who gave away her baby girl and when she married the same daddy a couple of years later when it was conveinient she never had another daughter, only boys and you can just imagine how much she wanted that little girl back. One of my closest friends gave away her baby girl and had to have a hysterectomy because of endometriosis. I know so many sad stories that I could sit here forever telling them and I was one of those bra burners who thought we could thumb our noses at God and get away with it. I was the first woman in Jefferson County Kansas to take the pill. I know that because there was only one Dr and he had to see the magazine article where I'd read about them and then the pharmacist had to order them in for me. I was quite the woman's libber but have I ever been changed just by life experiences and seeing the pain caused by thinking we can run our lives w/o rules. It took me awhile but I guess I finally have come full circle and got on the same side Jesus was on all the time. It's really sad to see a 60 year old friend sit and cry and talk about the baby she aborted 40 years ago when we all thought it was the easy way out.

Are you kidding? Jesus has 12 kids already. What do you think? The only side of the street he stands on is the one with the Home Depot. Jesus has to work to feed those kids you know. And, which Jesus are you talking about. There are over 12,000 in my city alone.

I doubt if Jesus would say it's ok to murder a baby, even though a judge will. Good luck with that, I hope you find an answer that satisfies you.

sandra: Jesus gives all humans the right to be wrong - free will of choice ! Jesus Created humans and very wisely, knows, that unless people come around to WANTING to do "good" (acts of expressing out-going, loving concern), for one another, - it would be futile to impose His will on others.

in the bible, there are verses refering to this matter. they say basicaly that an unborn child is still a child i think it says that an unborn baby may only be aborted if the mother will die by carrying it. obviously thats not an exact quote, but it says something around lines

The Son-ny side of the street.
"Be fruitful and multiply.'
"Thou shalt not kill."
Be honest with yourself...do you think He would support any kind of violence or killing of the human body?
Of course he would be against abortion.
