I am a spiritual person, but I believe that religion is man-made and is inherently corrupt. It has caused wars, bloodshed, corruption, murder, and child molestation since its inception. Would we not do better with religious anarchy where everyone is allowed to be spiritual in their own way? How can some religions claim to be the only way to heaven? How do they know?

I don't think religion is a form of terrorism. However, when a religion is being powered by the extremists leaders who are being supported by wicked politicians, it forms into terrorism. I totally agree with your point that religions are a cause behind all the wars and bloodsheds. I don't believe that believers from a particular religion can only reach the Heaven. There is no criteria to be a part of Heaven and if some religions claims so, then I believe it is being used with an intention of attaining global power.

They don't Know. Religion has been used as an Excuse for Human Stupidity and as a form of Terrorism since the beginning of Recorded History. As to everyone being allowed to be Spiritual in their own way, that's what the USA was founded upon, Freedom of Religion, not Freedom from Religion, which is used as an Excuse to Antagonize Christians and Jews. I'm not sure what the Answer is, only the Questions.

I don't believe in religion as well but no, I don't see it as a form of terrorism. If there were no religion, people would still do all the things you've listed. The only reason religion is used as an excuse is because it's a good one. What better way to get a bunch of people to commit murder than to tell them that it will please God? Religion isn't the cause of these things, it's just a very good excuse that most will buy. People are the reason these things happen.

Religion works for some people. There's no reason to take that choice away. Everyone is entitled that choice.

You are one of the silent majority who believe this way. Organized religion's version of a God is in no way consistent with any kind of truly moral ideology. It is a violent, hypocritical, very scary thing. Not just Christians, but all the Abrahamic religions too-Judaism and Islam. They have created a God made by man and it is indeed blasphemy. Look how the Earth, the true giver of life, is treated. Look at the hatred caused by religions-even within the same religions!!! Catholics Vs Protestants, Shi'a Vs Sunni, Reform Vs Orthodox !! God is all around if you look past your own nose every once and awhile.
PS Mahal- You are a fool if you think religion hasn't ALWAYS played a part in politics and therefore war. You are the one who is ignorant. Take a few history classes. The Revolutionary war was partly fought for religious freedoms as well. The Quakers and other religious groups were persecuted in Europe so they came here. Not all wars have involved the US. Look at the violence in Lebanon. Look at the violence in the Balkans-Siberia. Look at Africa. In history, look at the Crusades, during WW II the Pope remaining silent while the Jews were massacred, The Spanish Inquisition. .All the bake sales in the world will not help until you stand up and tell your religious and political leaders to stop acting that way!! They serve you not the other way around.

Yeah, most wars were/are caused by religion. However, the wars were all lead by people who believe that they're the only ones who are right w/ their beliefs. Not everyone is like that though. Not every muslim will kill someone for not believing as they do, just the ones that you hear about.

We are in a "religious anarchy", but very few honor that, literal, God given right of choice to believe what you want. Even people who don't believe in religions start arguments and metaphorical wars against those that do. Like people in this category that are just here just to simply bash people who might believe in something that makes sense to them.

of course not.
Religion is a gathering of beliefs and faith. It is not the religion that causes wars, corruption, murder and other immoral deeds. Wars and corruption are caused by politics. Murder and child molestation are brought by mad people. Do you think religion is meant for this?

Yes, it is man-made but is approved by God. It is created to guide the people away from those evil deeds and maintain their moral characters.
Are you reading a bible or do you believe it yourself? If not, then no wonder you ask these questions.

It can be, but then again so can anything else. What it all comes down to is perspective, different people see things differently. They may believe what they are doing is right when in the moral atmosphere of the world and those around them it is inherently wrong. Also, they don't know if is the only path to heaven. No one can. That's just it. They want people to think their way just because they think that it is right. Not everyone thinks the same and when people disagree there's bound to be problems.

For we walk by faith and not by sight.
I challange everyone who questions .. to really seek to have a personal relationship with God.
Jesus says I am the way rhe truth and the light .. no man commeth unto the Father but by me
There is no other way.. sometimes we seek so much knowledge and understanding that we begin to question God
Satan is a great manipulater and is very successful in the mission to decieve people into thinking:
Hell is on earth
There is more than one God
There is no God
Jesus is not the son of God...
satan is working very hard to make sure people can live their eternal lives burning in hell with him
I would rather go to heaven for believing, then go to Hell on a technicallity
It is my prayer that you will accept Christ as your savior.
Jesus Christ is the son of God , accept that He died for your sins ,
He rose again, He lives, and He is comming back again
If you don't believe, I cant judge you.. and that does not make you a bad person.
We are all free to have the veiws that we want
I know what I believe is real, because I have a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father... just like you have a relationship with your mom, or your dad, or your siblings...
No one can walk up to you and tell you that your mom may not be your mom?
You have faith that your mom is your mom .. even though you were not there when she concieved you, and your memory does not allow you to recall comming out of her womb.
You still know that your mom is your mom
When you get a PERSONAL relationship with God.. He becaomes just that real to you and no one will be able to challage or get you to question How real He is.
That is how I know

They can claim whatever they want, as long as people have the freedom to accept or reject those claims. Religion does not cause wars and bloodshed. It is never that simple. Why do you suppose there are no religious wars fought in the US? We have one of the most religiously diverse cultures on earth (with over 30,000 Christian denominations alone).

if you watch South Park, you know that terrorism isn't something violent Muslims do in the 21st century, it's using violence or the threat of it to get people to do what you want. So if anyone is using, say the threat of hell to get others to donate money or behave a certain way then that is terrorism. obviously most people do things in the name of religion because they want to, not for fear of hell, so most religion isn't terrorism but certainly at some point in history, terrorism has been commited in the name of religion.
