Honey, he is 19 yrs old without a job and riding around on a bike with a pipe. Court is the last concern that you should have. Sweetie as far as your bad heart it should already be broken.
your son will only get probation. Hopefully conditions of his probation will demand that he gets a job and some counseling for his drug use. He has no job. who's supporting his habit. You need to thank the arresting officer for shedding some light on your sons life. I wonder if your son loves you as much as you love him.

Since your son is 19 he is considered an adult you do not neeed to go with him nuty the eveidence is pretty much stacked against him if it was a muni charge he will have to pay a fine and that should be all maybe some tough love is needed

"IF" this is his first offense, he will probably get a fine or communtiy service, and he is an adult now, so next time, if there is a next time, he may be facing a harsher punishment, like maybe jail, so if he learned and will stop using drugs, great, and if not, I hope you have some good heart medications. Sorry to sound like and @ss, but he is an adult, and he wil do whatever he wants. Good Luck,,,,

Expect a fine and probation. The court will probably allow him to pay over time, but have to wait till the date to find out.

ok unless the court is INSANE they wont take your son, PLUS hes 19, hes his own responsibility NOT YOURS! Why are you even going with him? it should be a simple ticket, will get a fine or community service. He will NOT go to jail. Its not that big of a deal AT ALL.

If all he had on him was paraphernalia, which may have had some resin in it from whichever drug he was using (I am going to guess marijuana). I don't think they will take him away to jail, and I don't think this is going to be put on you - he wasn't caught in your house, he didn't get in an accident (or harm anyone), I think he might get diversion or probation for six months, and probably be ordered to take some classes. I think you can rest easy.

I am not familiar with Oregon law .
Where I am from (SC.) 18 years old are responsible for them selves and actions ,not the parent .If it is his first offense and no pot was found on him they should be lenient .his appearance will make a difference

opposite to lots of the solutions the following, the police can no longer in trouble-free terms escort him out upon your request. he's a legal resident or tenant at your position. learn you community technique for evicting him like a landlord would a tenant. when you've referred to this technique, and with an order from a courtroom, the police can help escort him out.

The judge is on your side, why be nervous? You should be nervous that your son is using the pipe.
