I own a ford 1.3L car, and have recently discovered that some of the wheel rims (both on the inner side and the outer side of the wheel) have started to bend causing misalignment and stability problems. The dealer says that it is due to possibly hitting a pothole / other objects while driving. I am the driver (always) and I know that it is not.
Have anyone experienced similar problems anywhere and has the problem been diagnised. I need your help on this?

I once hit something and bent the edge of the rim such that the tire would no longer hold air. A new rim was $400.00 so the tire repair man put some kind of tape inside the bent area. The air then stayed in and I have continued diving on the wheel.

yep my 2002 focus with only 20000 miles on it . I hit a small pothole bent the rim. 158 bucks for a rim and 12 bucks to mount. ford says its cause the short sidewalls in the tires and suggest a tire with more sidewall.
