SVP currently has 16 models: http://www.svp-tech.com/dsc.htm
A quick glance at the specs of their XTHINN-12ZXG (one of their mid-range models) reveals the following:
* No optical zoom, only 8x digital. So if you zoom in at all, you sacrifice tons of image quality.
* It's not 12-megapixels as advertised. It only has a 5MP sensor.
* No mention who makes the lens - expect poor quality glass or even plastic. The fact that they say 'fixed focus' instead of 3 kinds of auto-focus is a bad sign.
* They don't provide a maximum ISO setting. This leads me to believe that it tops out at ISO 100 or 200 (useless at dusk and in low light situations.)
In short, this model is complete garbage. And the fact that no serious review site lists ANY model by SVP is an indication that their other models are just as bad.

Not really all that good.
If you want a good camera stick with Sony, Canon, Kodak, Nikon, even the Casio is a better camera.
