Butt: As a Christian, I agree with permanently, putting "religion" - literal or any other - to rest ! Religion is NOT spirituality [relationship with the God the Father, through Jesus Christ] ! Man-made attempts at "being good" with "Human Rights & Liberties United" would fall short, in the long run. The U.N. fails, as previous attempts to bring about world peace, like for example, the League of Nations had, prior to WW II . You require a spiritual solution on a physical problem.

it is no longer so basic as an the two or. for the period of the years i've got have been given spent analyzing relgion i've got have been given additionally studied physics, arithmetic, historic previous and so on. i think of of attempting to make one unique of the various is over-generalizing. now no longer anyone that learn Genesis as theological fiction rejects evolutionary biology as an social accumulating. i think of of each man or woman that reads the Bible, the Q'uran, the Puranas, and so on will come across some themes at the instant are not to any extent further wild-eyed superstitions or dogmas, yet some that are in simple terms human be conscious of-how. enable's take the so-reported as Golden Rule. Buddha actual stated it countless hudnred years earlier Jesus with "do now no longer do to others that which you come across detestable on a similar time as executed to you." Jesus stated an comparable subject certainly, "Do unto others..." that isn't great divine revelation, anymore than a taboo on homicide, whether it somewhat is customer-friendly adventure for human beings residing in community. I additionally suspect that puzzlers like the OT prohibition on shellfish in all threat had to do with outbreaks of paralytic shellfish poisoning or some such certainly project with the shellfish on the time. we are able to dialogue whether faith on stability is unfavorable or effective, whether it of course isn't one in all of the various in each element and element.

sounds good, but the religious enjoying fighting each other too much to stop now.
Really, What would they do all day if they could not fight each other?
Imagine1 billion people sitting around scratching their heads trying to figure out what to do with all this spare time they now have!
This might actually lead to advancement of the human race rather than the pool of staginated thought it is today.

Good vision, bad history.
Wars are not fought over religion. Ever. They are fought over money, power, resources, etc. Religion does not make people willing to kill each other. People kill each other when they feel threatened. Even the Counter-Reformation was fought over political concerns, and not because of theological differences. If you eliminated religion next week, you would still see the same prejudice, the same violence, the same wars.

If you think that religion makes killers out of everyone, I have to question either your intellect, your motives, your ethics or all three.
Your ability to reason is not far above that of a 9-year-old.

Well my religion does not do that! When it comes to war you see catholics killing catholics babtist killing babtist and so on but there is on religion that does not and that is Jehovah Witnesses. When it came to Hitler there is a picture of the pope with Hitler i see many religions smeared with the blood of others. I agree with you but not my religion. There is no blood on our hands.
