Don't you think when there are more than 1,24,000 prophets in Islam you are undermining the rest of the prophets when you say "LA ILAHA ILLALAH, MUHAMMADUR RASOOL ULLAH"?

Okay, I understand that it is IMPOSSIBLE to quote the names of all the prophets. But then, atleast the names of some prominent ones like that of Ibrahim(pbuh), Ishmael(pbuh), Moosa(pbuh), and Isa(pbuh) should have been mentioned alongside Muhammad's(pbuh).........

LAAILAHA ILLALLAH, ISSA RUHULAAH for the people of Jesus

There is NO error in the Shahaadat.
Muhammad (pbuh) is the Prophet whose teachings we follow.
All the other prophets (pbut) also taught monotheism, but Muhammad (pbuh) brought the perfect religion of Islaam to the world. We read about other Prophets (pbut) in the Qu'raan and even mention Ibrahim(pbuh) in our 5 daily prayers. However, according to Islaam Muhammad (pbuh) is the Seal of the Prophethood and the beloved of Allah.

May the peace, blessings and mercy of God be upon you

LA ILAHA ILLALAH, MUHAMMADUR RASOOL ULLAH

means

There is no deity worthy of worship besides God and that Muhammad is his messenger.

This does not say "only messenger", this would be AGAINST Islamic Teaching, in the Qu'ran clearly we know that there were many more messengers sent to other people. And the stories of the Great Prophets Moses, Jesus etc..

[002.136] Say (O Muslims): "We believe in God and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ'îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsâ (Moses) and 'Isâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm)."

[002.137] So, if they believe in the like of that which you believe then they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So God will suffice for you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

Peace Be With You

first of all, in islam, there are some words other but almost similar to religion that we have to know. those are millah, hanifah, ummah and deen. those who follow the teachings of the prophet in putting faith to Allah as the only God, they are still saved during the day of judgement.
okay, it might not be cosely related to what you are asking about. but among thse 124, 000 prophets, only 25 were mentioned in teh Quran. that is why IF we found that confucious of zarathustra are also prophets sent by Allah, we must believe in them (but not the teachings nowadays).
if that so, i really agree with mr byefareed. this era is the era of Muhammad s.a.w. so, the one that we should particularly praise in Shahadah is him. so it is not an error actually. :)

if u see the Drood, salam is giving on all the prophet of God.
"kama barak talah abrahima". meaning Slam and peace to all the children of Abraham. this include all the prophets and all the prophet have one common ancestor. i.e Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH)

all the muslims recite this atleast more than 50 times in one day.

Tactical error? Give me a break... Who told you this Shahadat is the only form of declaring the Islamic beliefs?

Quran (002-136)

Say: We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.

theyre not saying the rest of the prophets are'nt real, they're just saying that muhammad is. and la ilaha illalah means there is no god but allah which means the stone and wood idols are false and not the god.
