Yes he has been neutered. But I have seen neutered males that did not act so scared.

It just means your cat has a more dominant personality.
Often in mixed species households it will be the cat wither female or male that dominates the dogs.

Not necessarily. How old is the dog and how long have you had it? I got a puppy a couple of months ago and my roommate has (filthy, disgusting) cats. At first the dog was scared of the stupid things but now he knows that he's higher up on the food chain. Good thing too, I got him to keep those horrid things out of my room.

you're able to introduce them slowly, keep them separate on the commencing up, cats by using nature are very territorial. attempt rubbing the hot kitten with a towel and be certain you rub around the neck and brow(without hurting him), the towel would be lined with the infant's fragrance. supply the towel to the older cat so it could enhance into responsive to the hot ones fragrance. In some days start up introducing them in small visits, retaining an eye fixed out for aggressive habit. this technique would possibly no longer artwork if your older cat is a obdurate jerk. based on the cats character, it could or would possibly no longer tolerate the beginner.

You're cat has a dominant personality, seen in most female cats.Queens(female cats) rule the roost in most houses, and you're dog is likely responding submissively to the cat's dominant energy.

A submissive dog with flee from the dominant pack member, often rolling over on their side until the dominant member retreats.Submissive, calm dogs will keep their ears back, their heads low,and their tails low.Excited, dominant dogs will carry their heads high, their tails up,and their ears up.

My 9-year-old,7lb female cat will chase and put my 80lb Lab/Pitbull mix and put him into a submissive state if necessary.

My cats were always higher on the totem pole....
But once we had a dog with a high prey drive and the dog would have killed the cat.... so be happy that you dog is allowing the cat to "win"

Cats have little razors on the end of their feet. It makes sense for a dog to resist pissing off the cat.

Looks like it is how the pecking order happened! Your cat IS superior to your dog, and your dog knows it! Sometimes it just happens that way. Good luck!

Maybe your female cat is like all the female cats I've ever had...psycho! hehe I don't know why that is but it is. I had a cat named Smokey that was so nasty to other animals I called her Satan. She used to lure my male cat to her and when he would try to mount her, she would attack him, grab his face and kick him in it w/her back feet.

It means your dog doesnt want his face scratched off. The cat would win if they fought and he knows it.
