May the peace, blessings and mercy of God be upon you

Any man, (whether scholar or soldier) cannot call for Jihad. Only the rightful leader of an Islamic Nation can do so. These self-proclaimed Mullahs (most of which who have no formal training in Qu'ranic Studies, Hadith or Jurisprudence) have no authority to call for Jihad. Even under a legal declared war, we cannot kill a woman, child, civilian, or clergy people. Only Soldiers on the battlefield may be attacked.

Please read this page, a Scholar of Islamic Jurisprudence proves why the Deviant Teachings of Al-Qaeda and its followers are misguided. They are committing crimes.

Yes I consider myself to have the Moral Fortitude to confront them. The good thing is that this is not happening at my mosque or any other mosque that I am aware of in Canada.

Sometimes when I see programs on TV about that Deviant UK based sect feel like flying over there and showing them why they are so wrong. In a debate between Muslims and the Deviant People in the UK, the Muslim said, "this is not in ideology, it a mental illness", in regards to hateful, fanatical views of the people who have gone astray.

The Koran teaches the same thing the Bible teaches in that sense. War, violence, peace and love. Think of the genocide that Moses led, and the compassionate God that Jesus spoke about. The Koran is the same in that sense. I swear nothing has caused such confusion and discord in this world than the institution of religion.

Yes, I would. The only acceptable violence in Islam is self defense. Not only is that in Islam, that's just common sense.

Jihad doesn't mean a war, by the way. It just means a struggle and can have nothing violent about it.

Anyone teaching violence and hatred is not teaching true Islam. If you have verses from the Qur'an to prove me otherwise, chances are it's out of context and you need to look at what comes before and after the verses.

TRUE Islam IS peace.

Islaam is a religion of peace and submission and stresses the sanctity of human life. A verse in the Quran says (Chapter 5, verse 32), that anyone who saves one life, it is as if he has saved the whole of mankind and anyone who has killed another person except (in lieu of murder or mischief on earth), it is as if he has killed the whole mankind." Islaam condemns all violence which happened in the Crusades, in Spain, in the 2nd world war, or by acts of people like the Rev. Jim Jones, David Koresh, Dr. Baruch Goldstein, or the atrocities committed in Bosnia by the Christian Serbs. Anyone who resorts to violence is not practicing his religion at that time. However, sometimes violence is a human response of oppressed people as in Palestine. There is a lot of terrorism and violence in areas where there is no Muslim presence. For example, in Ireland, South Africa, Latin America, and Sri Lanka. Sometimes violence is due to a struggle between those who have and those who do not have, or between those who are oppressed with those who are oppressors. Unfortunately, the Palestinians who are struggling against oppression are called terrorists but not the armed Israeli settlers when they do the same. As it turned out in the Oklahoma City bombing, sometime Muslims are prematurely blamed even if the terrorism is committed by non-Muslims. God does permit defensive wars against organized oppression. Sometimes some misguided Muslims turn to violence as happens with all religions and countries of the world. To call all Muslims terrorists is completely false. Islaam is a religion of peace, harmony and submission to the laws of God Almighty.

Thanks, for your understanding the conflicts we Muslims faced today. There have been so many of these people ranging from individual Muslim/Ulamas to groups or etnic group of people, the ruling Islamic authorities/countries that interprete KORAN verses as they like for their ill objectives, proclaim themselves as the representatives of GOD, implement rules & fatwas in the name of Islam and on behalf of GOD.

They even claim themselves have the power to label other Muslims with different understanding of messages in the Koran, as infidels.

They poison the minds of youth & other oppressed & instable state of mind individuals to commit suicide. And they duped them for 'Jihad'.

A lot more to mention which are outrageous & absolutely insane.

And all that intolerable damages are at the expense of the religion & its rational true followers.

Let me tell you all Muslims brothers & sisters around the world, if we do not have the guts to take more serious stance to voice out and object all those rascals, we only have ourselves to be blamed for anything!

The old saying about the squeaky wheel getting the oil, is still true today. When all of our news groups think that the only news to repeat is bad, gory or dehumanizing, it is the oil getting spread around the ones that want to be heard. If no one paid them any attention then they would not be heard, therefore they would have no reason to commit the vile atrocities that they have done.

You have to put everything into context for example the Quran says:

And fight them on until there is no more persecution or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression.

Quran, Al-Baqara, Chapter 2 Verse 193

Allah tells us to fight oppression and persecution, this can be referred to as Jihad, a struggle to free oneself from oppression. This is Islam’s most known and misunderstood concept.

Many refer to Jihad, incorrectly, as “Holy War”. Jihad stems from the word “Jahada” which means exhausting, so a man is said to have “Jihad al-nafs” when he has exhausted his utmost effort. So Jihad is translated as struggle, it refers primarily to a person’s inner struggle to become righteous and to submit of his or her life to Allah.

Dr. Zakir Naik clarifies the Islamic position of force being used in Islam.

Each and every human being in this world is not in favour of maintaining peace and harmony. There are many, who would disrupt it for their own vested interests. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against the criminal and anti-social elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice.

Peace should be the Primary objective of Muslims as the following verse proves.

But if the enemy incline towards peace, you also incline towards peace, and trust in Allah: He is the All- Hearer, All-Knower.

Quran, Al- Anfaal, Chapter 8 Verse 61

However despite this people are still conned by critics of Islam because they are able to quote the Quran out of context, in order to prove the point of terrorism. There is a particular quote that critics like to quote out of context to “prove” that Islam promotes terrorism and killing of those who do not convert to Islam.

So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the pagans wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-due, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful

Quran Tawba Chapter 9 Verse 5
*Abu Hamza (a radical preacher) tried to use this same verse to suggest that he was just preaching from the Quran and not inciting racial hatred.

As you read this verse you probably have already made some judgments, saying “How can anybody justify this?” However this verse is being quoted out of context. If you read the verse before this it sheds more light on what is going on.

(But the treaties are) not dissolved with those Pagans with whom you have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfil your engagements with them to the end of their term: for Allah loves the righteous.

Quran Tawba Chapter 9 Verse 4

As you can now without a doubt see there were covenants and treaties in place which had been broken by some of the pagan tribes of Arabia. As you can plainly see war was not waged on tribes which had abided and kept true to their word and Allah clearly reminds us of that.

In the Qu'ran Allah commands that murder is only a valid punishment for murder, and that in no case can children be killed, even if their parents are murderers.

Allah commands that it is rightous to kill a murderer, to give them just punishment, but Allah asks that even then we have mercy. For those who have mercy, even on a murderer, instructs Allah, shall be blessed.

At one time the Catholic Church was dominated by those who believed in torture and murder as the path to convert others. But the core message of Christianity was always love.

The same holds for Islam in the present.
